Stadium: Standard Nadeo block missing after update. Breaking Maps.

I use the Steam version of TM2 and I already verified the game files (and also deleted some files and redownloaded them).

After the MP4 update in custom stadium maps either by me or by others (I haven't checked the offical maps yet) a block is missing: It is the flat floor block that is used in this context:

THe plain blocks used right before the checkpoint are missing after the update.

Was this on purpose or is it a bug?


If this was on purpose:
It is NOT a good idea to break backwards compatibility of custom content for a game that relies on custom content.

EDIT:
Also the Shadows in custom Stadium maps are messed up and make the game ugly now. Sometimes it isn't such a good idea to break a fine and running system.

EDIT 2:
It seems on purpose. I found the tutorial to convert maps from MP3 to 4 ... which is absolutely useless if the original authors don't go through this process and I only have their maps in a title pack.
So basically a lot of content was made useless with this update for a game that has a shrinking community for years now. Sometimes I really don't get the decisions made at Nadeo.

I don't think it's on purpose, it more like seems to be a bug. Yesterday I found a nice map on the FS beginner server (this one) and I decided to download it for single player, only to find this: http://puu.sh/vNQt4/99b79b3801.png
as OP explained some platform pieces (in this case boosts) are simply gone (not just graphical but also physical, so the map is actually unplayable).

You have to recalculate shadows for old MP3 maps cause the lighting system and some blocks were changed.
If you recalculate shadows on old maps, the missing blocks issue also automatically gets fixed.

I don't know about maps, but in replays with missing blocks, shadows recalculation doesn't help to fix the problem.
