Questions:
circle tool: Would it be possible to make it so that for example 3-8-16m circles are prefectly aligned when cut 90 degrees or is this geometrically impossible? 5-10-15 works though and i guess you can Always cut them down in size by 20% although this could be tricky to work with if you rely on circles for other parts etc.

Groups: How do you use the unassign option? Ive got the hang off the merge function and now most of my problems are over regarding the Group tool xD (i currently use undo in place of the unassign button).

Meassurements(name slipped but im referring to the option which allows you to change the lenght of lines etc):
Is 0.004 the lowest the game engine can support or would a 0.002 and 0.001 be possible? I feel if 0.001 where the absolute hard limit it would be a nice way to allign identical geometry if you ever mess that up.

splines: Not sure if they are currently broken but when they did work, did you have to doubleclick in order to Place them or how exactly does this work?

Suggestions (a bit more like suqestions):

sphere tool: Would it be possible to have a square sphere tool?, also does the same thing i wondered about regarding the circle tool apply here as well?

stretch tool: Kind of like the scale tool except you could for example stretch only the length of a road and not the width. this one does sound a bit painful to code though and i guess there´s always the option of getting better at the block transformation tool.

revolve tool: In case this is not possible, would it at least be possible to revolve the outline of a circle around the outline of of another circle you made, as a means of using the second circle as a reference point?


hyperbolic geometry tools?
A bit hard to explain but it caters to inverted geometry etc.

Hi, sorry for late answer

i haven't looked at everything on this post but under your Questions block, i can say the following :

- Groups : the UI now shows directly what you can and can't do with what you have selected (between Ungroup, Group, Merge)
- Measurements (or Step) : you can now freely change it as you wish by typing a value in that number (but if you use + and - it will go back to its closest "official" step)
- Splines : they were broken indeed, and you need to double click to finish the spline

The other things are written in some place for further thinking :p

No problems with the late reply.

I wrote this before i learned the block transform tool so now the revolve tool idea (at least for me) seems a bit uneccessary, although i think this could still function as a fancy version of the extrude tool for flat or even cubic geometry given that you want to make something like a soda can or a cup.

hyperbolic geometry is also easier to approach with block transformation tool however, if you made a 90 degree corner version of anything that isn't elongated, you are going to get overlapping polygons. Not really sure if that one is fixable, since its technically you deforming something with a Sharp corner which may or may not rotate in on itself.

Btw, i recently had a discussion with Eyebo about textures(on mania exchange where my username is different).
The question was wether or not we could repeat a texture selection that isnt an already repeatable texture but rather an uv selection like for example the checkpoint or start signs you see bunched together with a couple other texture assets(This seems to be a no so far). those are currently crammed in between other textures which means you can not make a continous wall with the same texture without having to repeat the same face selection into multiple faces. some of the more continous textures such as railings etc, allow you to go off the boundaries and make a perfectly proportionall continuous seamless texture ,but this is because it takes up a whole rectangular space on the texture image file so the texture file already allows for it. If we ever get the ability to repeat an UV selection much like you would repeat a raster or your own background image on your desktop, i would also suggest having the option to repeat a selection of faces either through a repeat tool or through the scale tool. This would allow you to make something like a skyscraper where you could repeat a concrete+glass texture like 20 times to make what resembles a highrise wall,all whilst only using one face, which massively cuts down on polygons and faces etc.

Not sure if that's possible to code but it would allow you to cram some more stuff into a low poly pack with that 1mb limit :P .
