TM2 randomly starting to ignore inputs while in a drift

Hello! Ever since I've purchased TM2 stadium (around year ago), I have been having this issue where at random times when Im holding gas + brake at the same time (from the point when im initiating it, to the point where im letting go of the brake), my inputs randomly start getting ignored until I let go of every button. Steering works completly fine, but gas/brake itself is not responding at all. Funnily enough, when Im starting up TM2 the first time of the day, this issue doesnt occur at all up until 10-15 minutes into the session. The intervalls between each of these happenings after the first one completly vary - sometimes I have to play 5 more minutes until it happens again, sometimes it happens three times in a row. Ive tried playing solo and online, but both variants yield the same results.

I have tried fiddling around with completly re-installing drivers, re-installing the game, even resetting windows (using 8.1 64bit) when I had to replace my older HDD, but to no avail. This only happens on TM2, when im playing TMUF (or any other game for that matter, other racing games, even when emulating games), this never happens, my inputs get translated perfectly fine. Currently Im using a Ps3 controller (scp drivers), but up until a few months ago, I was using a Ps4 controller that basically worked plug 'n' play, although it had the same problems. If it matters in any way, im using the X button for gas (A on xbox pads), and circle for brake (B on xbox pads).

If theres any more information I have to give you that would help determine the source of the problem, I will be glad to do so. Thanks for reading!

Are you using it wirelessly over bluetooth? I'm using a PS4 controller over bluetooth (Square to accelerate, X to brake) and only ever see the issues you describe when the bluetooth signal is getting interference. (Played for over an hour last night with PS4 controller w/o any issues actually.)

Do you play the Steam version or the standalone version? Steam might be using their controller emulation thing for your controller without you realizing (or you're using it on purpose and that could cause issues as well).

Is this issue also present when you're only playing with keyboard, or is it fine then? (I know it's hard to switch between pad & kb but it's worth a shot )

Ive been using the Steam version ever since my HDD replacement (like 2-3 months), but I used the standalone version before, where the issue was present as well.

Keyboard didnt have the problem after like 10 minutes of testing. So I guess its some driver-to-game problem? As I said, I never have any problem when Im playing another game, just on TM2.
