No sound on Maniaplanet/Trackmania 2 games? [workaround available]

Simply put, I'm just tired of this now. I get no sound whatsoever and never have in my whole time of having these games. Is there even a way to fix it? Reinstalling, restarting my PC and probably some other stuff didn't help, is there anything at all that will let me actually hear things?

A bit more detailed information about your system would be very helpful.
Do you have headphones or loudspeakers connected? Are they analog or do they use USB?
Which sound card or audio chip do you have?

Did you have a look at the Launchers audio settings tab?
Could you post a screenshot or at least tell what's written there in your case?

Furthermore, if you could try the debug version of Maniaplanet 4 (see the link in my signature) it would show in a logfile (that is created in your Windows Documents - > Maniaplanet folder or in a subdirectory of it) if Maniaplanet is reporting an internal error on the audio system.

So the second post by Miss ended up solving my exact issue, and I'd like to both apologise and thank you guys so much. I was tired, annoyed and had some issues signing up which was only due to my own tiredness, and I'm so sorry about my first post. I'm not usually like that, and you probably get people like this a lot who don't even come back and say anything, but the main thing is the second post with the long tutorial solved my issues instantly and I can finally play/stream this and hear sound at the same time!

For whatever reason I saw that post and saw everyone thanking that person but I didn't see the actual post that would've helped! I was pretty confused honestly LOL

Once again, I apologise for just coming in here and ranting while not providing any specs, information or anything like that but I'm so so happy that it's fixed now! For the record I use Voicemeeter Potato so I was wondering if that was the issue, as I don't have any external sound cards and just have a headset that connects through USB and gets sound through an optical cable for now.

Again, thank you two so much and I once again apologise for being so mean.

Apparently there is an issue with multichannel audio since a recent Windows update, which should be fixed next month.
A workaround is to disable multichannel audio, if this is possible with the audio driver control panel.
