[FIXED] - [TM2] [LAUNCH] - won't start

So i just bought and downloaded TM2, installed maniaplanet and when i press "Play" nothing happens, maniaplanet.exe is in the task manager so it is running but nothing happens. I have W7 and my computer is good enough to play the game. BTW, i never got to insert my activation key, dunno if i can do it when the game is started tho.

Hello,

First, update the drivers of your graphic card, and test if it works or not.
If it doesn't work then you can try to remove all your game controller (like wheel, joystick, pad ...) and test if it works or not.

I've upgraded my drivers, rebooted my computer and tried running it as administrator but the same thing happens and i don't have any game controllers.

Try this solution as described on this topic:

You have to create internet shortcut, click right mouse button on the desktop then select "create shortcut" as a name write
maniaplanet:///
Once you saved it you can start the game with this shortcut! It only works if you selected that shortcuts can start the game, it is asked in the installations process.

After try this one, you launch the game by the shortcut you've just created and it will works

Well the thing is that a file can't contain ":///". I have this problem with TMUF too and i can only start it by launching mozilla firefox and then typing tmtp://.

If you click right on your desktop, then create => shortcut => you enter maniaplanet:/// and next. Once you click on the new shortcut, it will works. I test it few minutes ago and it works.

Well this is just weird, i trust that it should work but i have w7 64 bit, and my windows is in swedish and i do exactly as you say but i have to choose a path to create the shortcut from so i've tried choosing chrome and firefox, then i can choose the name and "maniaplanet:///" is not valid.
