Camera Resets While Driving?

Is there a way to turn off the camera resetting after starting a race? I usually use the bumper camera but 2 or 3 seconds after starting a race the camera resets itself to the default position (3rd person view of the car), annoying a hell. Couldn't find anything in the settings regarding it?

Use the 1,2,3 keys on the numeric keypad to set your preferred view. The period key seems to change it only temporarily.

This is very very strange. Is this happening to anybody else?
It could be because of the track. Try driving regular Nadeo tracks with Cam3. And finish a track. Then it should stay, no?

Ok, it was the period key I'de remapped as theweevil pointed out (thinking it would cycle through and stick), mapped the 1, 2, 3 keys as its fine now.
