How to export just part of a replay?

Post by pjw »

I did a fair amount of searching, both here and at the Exchange, and couldn't find an answer to this...

Let's say I have a 30 second replay, but I only want to use 5 seconds from the middle of that replay in an intro. If I export a clip, I get the whole 30 seconds.

Is there some way to either export a small portion of that replay to a clip, or to shorten the clip ghost after I export it? I feel like I'm missing something simple here...

(Also, I tried the "cut block" button in the MT editor, but it doesn't seem to do anything. What does that do, and how is it used?)

Devs, I realize you're probably working incredibly hard on the SM, QM, and the next TM2 installment, but a bit more useful information in the manual on all of the not-so-obvious stuff in the editors would be really nice...just sayin'...

Sorry, I got my answer in the TMX forum--setting "start offset" on the ghost clip changes where the relevant camera blocks (or whatever) take effect.

Soooo...yeah. It would still be nice to have this sort of thing explained in the manual at some point. :)

You can also use "Editing Cut" block to export just part of a replay:
