TM2 Splitscreen with Xbox360 Controllers

Hi there!

I'm thinking about getting TM2 (Since TMU is awesome) but I'm wondering about a few things:
1. The game does support splitscreen right? (Thought I read this somewhere, but I'm not sure since TMU doesn't have it like most race games)
2. If there is a splitscreen mode, can both players use a wireless Xbox360 controller?
3. If there is a splitscreen mode, how many players can play at the same time?


Especially the first two questions are rather important, since those will decide whether I´ll get the game or not

Bought the game and tried for myself:

I can play splitscreen with at least 3 Xbox 360 controllers, so 4 should probably also work

Okay - I created an account on here just to reply real quick - but I'm pretty sure - you can't play with WIRELESS xbox 360 controllers - I remember I had wireless controllers which had the battery packs, and you can't just plug those into the computer (even tho they can connect through USB) - to use the wireless controllers, you need a wireless receiver - so if you have one of those, it would work (as well as anything else you probably already use it for).

I did 4 player split screen the other night and it was a blast - reminded me of the n64 days playing goldeneye -- that is honestly probably the last time I have played 4-player split screen. I had two wired xbox 360 controllers (one I got for $40 from Best Buy, the other $35 from Amazon), and then I actually had two USB keyboards (wasn't even sure if this is going to work), but we had different keys assigned, so I was using arrow keys on one keyboard, and the other keyboard was using WASD; just keep in mind that if you go this route, each keyboard still shares the keys, for example he could hit Enter on his keyboard and restart me.

Oh, and one last note, is that the 360 controller does work great in TM1 as well, incase you want to go that route as well. I'm having a blast with TM2 so far, but at least in my limited experience I'd say there is more value in TM1 so far.

Well, duhh.
I really hope people here aren't dumb enough to presume that Wireless Xbox360 controllers magically connect with your PC without peripherals (I'm 100% sure these people exist on this planet, I do just hope they're not related to TM in any way)
The wireless controllers do however work if you've got the charging pack attached (which has an USB connection). This way the PC just sees it as a wired Xbox360 controller (since they actually are wired in this mode)

I'm afraid the XBox 360 wireless controller doesn't work that way - the charging cable just got a tiny bit of electronics inside it to report itself to the PC and, well, charge the controller, but you'll quickly find out that you are unable to use the controller without the wireless receiver being plugged in since there's no actual data transmission going on over the charging cable.

You can, however, use the charging cable as a substitute for putting batteries in the battery pack...
