First Time User Needs Help

Hiya everyone,
Now i'm sure this has been answered before but I'm hoping someone can help me with a couple of questions regarding creating my own maps and how to share them with friends?

I have created a track using the track editor and have validated the track and it is saved on my computer.
I am trying to upload the map so my friends can play the map with me.
Can someone please help explain to me how I go about doing this? Do I need to store my maps online, or do I upload them to a particular website for everyone to play?? I go on servers and play all these great maps but none are stored on my PC?

My other questions is how do I play my map without going into the editor? I open up local play but my map does not appear in the list shown. Infact it shows now maps at all? Do i have to go find my map on my pc and copy it to another folder? or is there a way in game where I can find my map?

Many thanks for your help on this. It is very confusing to a new fan of the Trackmania games and once I know the basics I'll be able to go forth and create.

ps. Any way to create new Car designs? Not paintwork but actual look and shape of the car?
