Severe memory leak?

Post by aborttrap »

Hi,

When the log window is open and a script that just continually prints is running, the memory usage just skyrockets (about 200 MB per second for me), and eventually the game quits and my system often gets unresponsive.

Also, though the 'onscreen output buffer' is being leaked, the actual 'internal data' is as well, but the usage increases very slowly. This happens only while the script is running and the log window isn't open. (the rate of memory being leaked is about 20KB/sec for me).

I have the latest optional update of the game.

Will there be a fix in a future update for this? :)

Cheers!

It usually makes life a lot easier when testing your script.

Any sort of memory leak generally should try to be fixed. It can get annoying to have to relaunch the game every so often... :)

yes sure for debugging it helps, and it would be nice to be fixed.
but when i debug i dont print the log on every tick. i just print if i klick an space or soething similar, maybe it helps you.

BUT it would be great if the log gets cleared if it is nearly full or so
