Today I want to bring this project to you, as a public announcement of this site that has been devbeloped over the past week, which I hope will be successful and a fun time for everyone!

What is ManiaPlanet-Clans.com?

ManiaPlant-clans is a project that is trying to bring all clans on maniaplanet (TM, (SM and QM in future too) into one site. The main objective of the site is to grow as one big community. I feel that over the past few years the community in TM has slowed down a little, so I hope that this project can bring things up again for all those clans who might feel a little marginalised.

Why should I be interested in ManiaPlanet-Clans.com?

Well, the site offers both you and the clan you are in to to join a bigger community. This allows for bigger, more regular, different, friendly and competitive competitions. Obviously, I know that maniaplanet.com, TMX and maniapark.com organise such competitions, but they are mostly individual ones and therefore lack the community that could be created by such events. Don't get me wrong, i think they are great, but maybe not as focused on clans (completely understandebly too).

Who can be part of ManiaPlanet-Clans.com?

Anyone that is in a clan. There are no limitations to how big or how small the clan is, as long as its playing in a community promoting manner. If you are not in a clan you can join one of the many already registered on the site, and you can select which one seems to be most suitable for you.

How can I register my clan on ManiaPlanet-Clans.com?

If you are a member of a clan you will need to contact your clan leader/admin - he can then register the clan by filling out an application form: REGISTER MY CLAN

What type of competitions are you talking about here?Team tournaments?In that case I cant really believe how thats gonna work out when ET and ESL has tournaments all over the year.

Because TrackMania² isn't released really long, clans are in developing/recruiting stage and therefore there arent many Team Tournaments yet.
But as stated above, ESL and ET (dunno for sure the last one) will come with Team Tournaments in a not too long period of time.

And by the way, MP-C is a community site with strong relations with TPS, something I personally dislike.

You dunno ET? Its the leading trackmania tournaments organizer,which at the moment arranges TWL0 which has 64 teams signed up.(www.et-generation.com)

Hey Weeeeee, svens and TheM,

Firstly, the ideas of competitions are not only based on racing a team (or more) vs other teams, there are competitions such as tarck editor competitions, graphic skins and mod competitions, server competitions (ex we gave out 8500 planets out to the best track authors) and more. I know that other sites like you have pointed out, also do tournaments but they don't do other competitions part from those (please correct me if im wrong). Also, I have personally spoken to 10 different clan admins about the site maniaplent-clans.com but none of them have mentiond other sites you link me, which they would have done if they were part of them.

Anyway, I think I have not been clear on the reasons why this site has been created. I want to help Nadeo and the maniaplanet (TM, SM and QM) project as a whole, and I do this by making something that will hopefully make people want to stay on longer in TM. All we need to do is look at the players that have played in TM right from the start and % wise, we can see that the vast majority of the players have all been in clans, maybe all of them. This suggests that TM needs teams to keep players playing in TM (for the long term) would you guys agree with that?

I know people like TheM that look down on TPS, but many people on the server really enjoy it, as our daily numbers prove to back up the system does work). Again, what we go with TPS is to get people attached to TM, so hopefully more people stay and play TM.
In any case, maniaplanet-clans is not only for TPS as tools, but we want to help the less-used server tools be seen more, as well as others that want to join for development and help.

I hope what I say makes sense, and that you understand that what I want the most is to see Nadeo and ManiaPlanet increase in numbers and popularity, surrounded by an awesome community

I did have a look on google for a definition to the word and came out with 'printed' so I thoguht a rephrasing of the question would solve it...

In any case, I think it's fairly obvious who the owner of the website... anyway it is only legally needed for those websites who make money out of the site.
