D15 is ridiculous

I have been stuck with track D15 in the solo campaign for over a month now. It's not that the track is too hard; I can drive a good couple of laps, but in the space of ten whole laps, something will go ever so slightly wrong that my entire race is messed up, and beating the gold becomes an impossibility (having to reset the whole time seven laps in is frustrating to no end). I don't think it's reasonably possible to pull a good time for this track at all.

You're right about it being a ridiculous track. All the skinny road and slippy sand tracks have destroyed my soul at one point. I bit the bullet though and persevered through the pain. I'm now stuck on E 03 and rapidly losing the will to live but I digress. The trick to D 15 for me was to just drive it super slow and minimise the drifts. I mean just take your finger off the gas for 2 or 3 seconds at a time and let the car grip the track. Only drift when absolutely necessary and let go of the gas during said drifts to grip the the road.

You may think that's nuts and you must be at full speed the whole 10 laps but you don't. By taking it easy for every lap you can easily get gold by over 15 seconds. You won't get an earth shattering time but your worries will be over and D 15 a thing of the past.

i found drifting on the skinny roads hard until i found out that if you initiate the drift before the turn not during the turn, it works out with a much better success rate. Yeah D15 was a little discouraging for me, but you just have to buckle down and get in the zone for 10 minutes. if you do it fullspeed with drifts then it is not a problem at all. the gold medal crashes a couple times i think.

Yes, it's hard, I am after 3 hours of training drove 7:16:16 official time, and wrote me Internal Error - I'm incredibly angry.
