[Suggestion] Allow Rocket Jumping

We already know that rocket jumping isn't realistic. If you're caught in the blast zone, you die. End of story. However, we also know that Shootmania isn't going to be realistic.

I admit that rocket jumping, at least in TF2, has become second nature to me and I habitually try to do it in other FPS games as well, usually ending up as a smear of blood on the map. I may be a little biased. Still, I find that competitive (Quake, Doom and Wolfinstine) style FPS games usually benefit from it as it allows for a skilled player to sacrifice some health for increased mobility.

Yes, it may break some maps, but I see a possibility for other maps to be made in a way where they can't be cleared without rocket jumping.

This is, of course, assuming there will be a rocket launcher or equivalent in the game already. If not then never mind.

It's a specific rocket jump tho...

I think your can't rocket jump yourself, but you can rocket jump your mates and enemies.

Ok thanks for the link Hylis, better have a small one than none at all.

Is it besause you don't realy have a life value but a number of time to be shoot by the enemy ? I mean allowing a big rocket jump should cause you health, and seeing how the health is managed in SM it would cause too much damages.

I don't know if you already explained that, sorry to put that question if it's the case.
