SM will be using the same game engine (GameBox) as TM. My guess is that the requirements will be the same. Few optimisations here and there maybe. :)

Besides that, it's too soon to tell. The game hasn't entered a beta stage yet. ;)

SM will be the first game with directly user interaction. So I hope, that the players there are not lagging (jumping^^) around like in TM².

My Internet-Connection has a downloadrate by 450 kbit/s and a uploadrate by 80 kbit/s. The Ping is normally between 80ms and 200ms. On bad days over 1000ms. :(

I hope it will work, because I played Battlefield Heroes with this Internet-Connection very smooth on most days, but if there´s no change to TM², where I have to hide the other players on online server with more than 8 players...

hmm you have 10 kb/s uploadrate, this is really low....

downloadrate doesn't care while playing

Because you have DSL and not cable internet your ping will get higher if the server is more far away... this means if Nadeos Servers are in France ? and you live in Germany it's pretty ok.

The latency and packetloss is also very important

please go to speedtest.net and pingtest.net and post your results after these tests and I can probably tell you if you will have problems while playing

Here are the results:

speedtest.net:
  • Ping: 110ms
  • Down: 0.52 Mbps
  • Up: 0.08 Mbps
pingtest.net:
  • Ping: 70ms
  • Jitter: 2ms
  • Packet Loss: Unable to test. Always fails :/

Nearly the same as my results.
  • Ping: 115ms
  • Down: 0.38 Mbps
  • Up: 0.08 Mbps
pingtest.net:
  • Ping: 72ms
  • Jitter: 2ms
  • Packet Loss: Unable to test. Always fails :/
Out of my experience, I'm pretty sure that the game isn't playable for us. For example, i used to play Battlefield Heroes on another internet connection without problems, but when i played it with this connection i got kicked all the time due to ping problems.

sorry to tell you but as TCQ said, you won't be able to play it, pings are ok, but the uploadrate of 0,08 mbit is just too low
