If you just started on Nations Forever, it's highly doubtful you know the environment well enough to make a fair comparison.

Awesome!

I love it too!

Canyon isn't a direct sequel to Nations in the way you probably thought it would be. It's a unique environment, just like Island, Rally, Bay, Desert, Snow, Coast, and Stadium are all different from each other. They are all environments of the past TrackMania titles.
Canyon too has it's own unique personality and physics. It's very fun once you learn it; learn when to initiate drifts and how to control the physics of the car through different block configurations. There's hours of fun in this game, if you give it a chance and look at it from a fresh perspective.

For sure. Many who started on TrackMania Original or TrackMania Sunrise were not keen on the Stadium environment introduced with TrackMania Nations. Some were, some weren't. There are always people who find it hard to adapt to change. Gradually, even many of the original naysayers have come around and found the Stadium environment offered in Nations Forever to be fun to build in and to drive. Some still vehemently oppose it.
DRIVER355 wrote:in tm2 it is like a nfs game but even worse, also the only view that can be used is chase cam and i hate that, bumper view is too low and also with all the flips, crashes it is very bad
I don't know what you mean by saying its like nfs. It feels totally different to me from any nfs game I've played. The only similarity would seem to be the fact that drifting plays an important role and that it is indeed a driving game.
There are three preset cameras you can use. Camera 1 is well suited to my own driving since it allows you to see well in advance stuff coming up on the track. Camera 2 is a little lower and gives you a better sense of being in the action. Camera 3 is the bumper cam that you feel is too low. I do know some players who use it. I think a lot of people would enjoy having more camera preset options, but these three presets have always served TM quite well.
All the flips and crashes are part of what makes TM a fun game. You try not to mess up, but when you do... you're always going to have some epic stunt crashes. With the new damage of the TM2 car, it adds to that fun.

Is there a way to use car skin from this game in trackmania nations forever?
Get this file:

And put it in:

Voila! The Canyon model in TM Nations Forever.
I must say though, I dislike the title of this topic. I've seen other topics around the forums worded similarly. It makes the idea that Nadeo ruined TM a foregone conclusion. It's not. It's totally subjective. There are tens of thousands of people who DO enjoy Canyon and play it regularly. Really, it's just a matter of giving the game a chance and looking at it for what it is, not at how it's different or similar to something else.
