[TM2] Widgets making me lag in multiplayer

The problem is that when i play multiplayer i will have a lag/spike every four seconds or something like that which is really annoying and i have tried pressing "*" and it works but i would much rather like to not have to do that so, but i don't know how to fix it. i have a decent computer:

Intel core i5 2500k @ 4.5 Ghz
2x Asus ENGTX 560Ti TOP 1 Gb SLI
8Gb of ram
64 Gb SSD (boot drive)
2 Tb hard drive (storage)
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO motherboard

I also (i think at least) have a good internet connection:



So i cant seem to figure out how to fix it.

Try to deactivate the SLI.

I have just tested it with and without SLI on 3 servers 2 major ones an 1 local small one. The thing i see it that is does not make a difference about if i have SLI on or not, but the thing is when i go into the major servers that have these fancy interfaces and widgets it is lagging approximately every 5 seconds, but when i'm on the little local one with no widgets there is no lag.

You can hide widgets on some server controller. On ManiaLive, it's F8 for example.

I have just tried to see if i could hide widgets with a key on my keyboard on three different servers but none of the keys seemed to hide the widgets

Maybe search in the menu of the controller.

I have tried looking but there does not seem to be a way to disable the plugins but i can disable some of them but not all and im still lagging and also if i disable the ones i can it will only be for the time i stay on the server.

You need to try to contact an admin of this server to ask how disable or you can use *, but it hide all information.

You can hide widgets on some server controller. On ManiaLive, it's F8 for example.

Only F5, F6 and F7 are sent by clients to servers. You probably mean F7, which also hides widgets on XAseco1/2-powered servers using the Fufi Widgets or Records Eyepiece plugins.
Note that on really busy servers, this individual hiding feature is typically disabled and all users gets the same widgets.

For the standard panels in XAseco1/2, you can also disable those, see /donpanel help, /recpanel help, etc. Your personal settings for these are remembered on the servers where you set them, see /settings.

Only F5, F6 and F7 are sent by clients to servers.

F8 has been added in ManiaPlanet and is indeed the one used in ManiaLive to hide everything.
