SSM servers are great for Elite MatchMaking, but I would like to see the default matchmaking. SSM removes parts from the layout such as "masters" & certain backgrounds... Some parts are ugly now. I would love to see the "original" product fully designed how NADEO wants it to be.
+1
Matchmaking system layout on SSM is not user friendly and... looks ugly. So we should have at least 3 mm servers by Nadeo (beginners + bronze, silver, gold).

Just a little request
Like the last time, it's just a question of taste. I know lot of players who prefere have board like on our MM. Why ? Beacause with original boards (master + players boards) hide half of your view when you play during waitting a match.
I know it's not realy beautifull like this, but for the moment, we can't do better.
I hope better solutions will come
OS: Win7 32bit CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.87 Ghz RAM: 2gb DDR2 GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5450 Motherboard: Cuba MS-7301 Sound: onboard: Realtek
- Because nadeo is giving tools, not hosting servers
- Because u see it as a flavour of design, choosen not by ssm
- Because there could be other people making mm servers, even urself
(on the last point, why would i make elite mm servers as ssm has so much of them i would not even stand a chance of having players)
I think it's useless for NADEO to host a matchmaking because only the SSM matchmakings are used by players.
Like djhubertus said, they'll certainly host a matchmaking when the Universal Demo will be released.
I prefer Nadeo focuses on the next update, it's more important for the moment (It's only my opinion)
SSM matchmaking servers are hosted in France. What about the other countries ? For example, we don't have any 100k servers in NA, and it will be great to have 100k servers provided by NADEO, if they actually care about the NA community.
We are designing a hosting strategy for the demo. It's complicated because there are tons of paramaters, like the fact that hosting should be possible for players own titles and this is why it's really important to make it as easy and efficient to host. It has even been designed so that different servers, host by different players, can receive players from matchmaking servers.
But this is the long term strategy, where map pool, server controler, admin and rules are all chosen by players, whenever they are in the world. It's better, more powerful and provide diverse experiences. It's what happened with Trackmania, but it's much more demanding for Shootmania, where servers demand more performances, sometimes require matchmaking, does not enable worldwide ping and have no other free access than the current Elite demo of 1 hour per day.
So, to enable this to happen, we intend to provide ourselves the first step. I don't know if we will be ready for the launch of the demo, but there are two things we would like to do: provide the first servers on first modes and make an autoscalable architecture to welcome any peak of audience. For both, we will probably still require the servers to be created by players, but simply from the player page and in planets. The planets are here to limit the use of this and push toward the long term strategy.
Meanwhile, we may also try to improve a little the design of matchmaking, accordingly with the advantages in mind express by SSM on hiding as much interface as possible. It's possible that we simply enable to have an option to hide the center part, we will see.
We are working on many features that are less visible but a necessity for long term, such as the universal matchmaking api, enabling to define the entire composition of the team to be sent on server, making it a lobby, or hub, more than a matchmaking directly. It could be useful for quick tournaments, finding opponents for practice, modes that are less important on ranking etc.
