Ok, this is good. But do you have any proxies configured? The only thing one could think now is that the firewall or your antivirus / internet security is blocking ManiaPlanet. Some tools can't be disabled at all, and from past issues, we know that e.g. Avast and F-Secure are not really handy in us...

IE is the only browser I use on this computer and it is what I am writing this message in. It is not offline.

As per ping test here and my forum thread here init.maniaplanet.com does not seem to be responding. I have not been able to connect since 07/11/2013.
