Testdrive [Closed alpha] Server

Every once in a while I see posts of people who claim that they make good tracks but are not able to host them because they have no server. It makes me sad that there are many talents that never will be found because of this. Also there are many tracks out there that could be even better than they a...

TMC²: Cannot open File

When I have a manialink where I can pick a file for upload and press the upload button then this error message appears. This only happens to me, my friend can use the same manialink regularly. Also when I open the file selection dialog the default folder is the topmost folder of my personal TMC data...

Re: Urgent Question > How many planets do i have for 62000 L

Ok well then add 100 Planets per 1000 lp or divide your LPs by 10 to get the ladder points you earned by LP (was thinking about the old Coppers system). But even then you just have a hint about a minimum amount. It still should depend on the other facts.

Re: Urgent Question > How many planets do i have for 62000 L

The planets are fully independent of your ladder rank. You receive planets for every day you log into the game. Also you can win them or be paid by others.

Re: Very sad to see this...

Yeah it is really sad, that TMC is very empty. Some time ago I began comparing the ratio of #Players / #Servers (effectively the average number of players per server) and found that in TMNF it is ~3.5 where in TMC it was ~1.5 at the same time. Also note that this was just an estimation and the real ...

Re: What makes a good server in your eyes?

@xGEKKOx: Now what a server need to be a good server? Easy... what the players want! This does not bring us forward. I was (indirectly) asking what the players want. And for those of us who do not yet host full servers it is hard to ask the players what they want. So it would be nice of you to share...

Re: What makes a good server in your eyes?

I did not intend this thread to become a server advertisement thread, so let me state it now, that if you have good servers, then there surely is a thread to advertise them, but this one should only focus on the qualities a good server should have (without naming good servers ^^) to help those who h...

Re: What makes a good server in your eyes?

EnaiSiaion:
Rounds Servers also can have hard tracks.
But of course easy tracks will be accepted by a wider range of drivers.

What about those things like TPS Gaseco?
Do you like this idea?

Re: What makes a good server in your eyes?

@Keras: So you would prefer a server with challenging tracks and drivers, that is rather small (<30 Players)?
What about a server with deactivated ladder? Does it matter to you (as you said you are not after LPs).

Re: What makes a good server in your eyes?

As I already pointed out a full server is no guarantee that you will like it/it is good. Also I do not like the idea of saying: A full server is a good one. Of course an empty server is bad, but a full server attracts by far more interest and has an advantage even if it is not as good as others. Of ...
