fixing the problem with invalid letters in login for maniascript. It can't be that i have to create a new acc just to get server controllers with my acc working, because it contains letters that maniascript can't handle.

So please nadeo that can't be that hard to fix fast.

I just got news that what is necessary to fix this has been already done, I just didn't know about it

for information he means not being able to put some characters to maniascript because they brake the xml while comunicating with the dedicatated

  • 1. Simplify the whole game system. There are so many different titles to play and so many inconsistencies in the game. As a player you have to learn so many rules about the Maniaplanet system itself before you can start to play. This creates an extra layer of rules between the player and the game, although these extra rules do not add any additional beneficial experience to the game. Trackmania used to be simple, easy and fast to use, but still very deep, which is one of the reasons why it's so popular - accessability. With Maniaplanet it seems to lose more and more of it's genius simplicity. (e.g. why is creating a Titlepack so complicated? http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic. ... 25&start=0 )
    A few of my following wishes show specific examples of those "extra" rules. ;)
  • 2. Environment mixing for Stadium. Let us drive the Valley- or canyon-car in stadium.
  • 3. Popularize the TM2 title somehow. Advertise it, make it a standard title maybe. It still has only 3700 players, while others have over 500k and it offers the most fun. We need a united place to gather and play, not a million titlapcks.
  • 4. Fix compatibility problems between Titles, especially between Nadeo titles. It's frustrating :(

  • 5. Find a way for steamusers to switch titles without having to restart the game. (also for the TM2 title) This seems to bug a lot of people.
  • 6. 150KB is very low for an overall object limit, if you want blocks that are a bit more advanced than objects with only straight edges. Every kind of quality roundness just exceeds the limit, especially if you want to use more than one object in a map. This low limit leads to low detailed objects, resulting in a ugly game. Additionally, nobody wants a bumpy turn :0010
    Another way to get around the limit e.g. adding objects to cash is welcome, too!
  • 7. IRC channel inside maniaplanet (http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic. ... 94&start=0)
  • 8. Add a calendar to ManiaHome that allows to mark private and public events ( http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic. ... ad#p227338 )
  • 9. Add more tooltips throughout the entire game so that players will find hidden features and shortcuts faster. e.g. the Gridsnap for custom blocks is super useful, but rarely anyone knows that it exists and that you have to press f4 twice to activate it. Tooltips are some work, but they are really really helpful, especially for the new players, who we really need at the moment! Tootltips with trick, tipps and explanations are very helpful and even a nice way to help :thx:
  • 10. Import TMUF 1:1 or at least don't change anything on the physics - There shouldn't be a split between united and Maniaplanet players. Trackmania players have to be united :thumbsup:
  • 11. For future environments: Wallride and Looping physics that are less random. It might be fun to see players fail in loopings, but it's even more fun to drive a loop in a league map!
    Trackmania needs more craziness again :thumbsup:

1. import TMUF to TM2. There is still more people in TMF than TM2, and merging them would do good.
2. dynamic skins: There are so many awesome skins but only 3 cars, so why not cycle them? every next map being loaded = next skin.
3. envmix on stad (seriously, canyon on stadium was so fun that i cant even)
4. custom cameras for binding under 4,5,6: similiar to colin mcrae 2.0 (damn codemasters is 13 years ahead :roflol: )

Great update recently. Also the demo brings us populated servers! Good job!

Here is, what I , and also many others might need:

- Shootmania & Trackmania North America support: Find people who are able to organize servers running 25/8, competitions like "MLG" or others and do some proper advertisement. Now it is important to show off the best things in Shootmania and Trackmania - Gameplay, fun and user-made movies. I believe sprint would love to do another big trailer and maybe another community video (showing off clips and creations of the users so far). You say the community is what Maniaplanet makes Maniaplanet; think about this slogan and make an ad out of it. Put as much Maniaplanet content as possible into one video and have it played somewhere; especially in NA.

- New blocks for Canyon and Valley: Why not set up a "montly blocks idea contest" and the best rated block of the month will be added into the game? I believe the community will love beeing part of this.

- Action Maker and Mediatracker: As much I love the action maker itself I never use it. Why? It is too complicated to use it within the Mediatracker. And even if I manage to get something it is not what I really imagined in having an effective "actiontool" for the MT. My personal ultimate suggestion: Have the Action Maker fully integrated into the MT. Here is how I Imagine that.
=> Every ghost in the Timeline has an option in the left settings bar called "open in Action Maker"
=> When Action Maker is opened, the mediatracker interface above the symbols on the bottom is replaced by the one of the Action Maker.
=> It should be possible to animate the player model completely and - if possible - set coordinates precisely for specific points (e.g. clicking on a finger shows it's current coordinates on the left and you can enter values)
=> Edit weapon and remove weapon shots of ghosts (IF POSSIBLE , not important)


- First Interface problems (duh): Many people prefer to have another interface. The best solution would be a default change to one of Purification's imo, but I am currently neutral on this.

- Buddy Chat improvements: The buddy chat is great currently. Even better would a screenshot share button be. Share what you are doing right now. How? Make a Screenshot with F10 (even in MT and Map editor possible pls) and inside the buddy chat window you have a + button. Pressing it shows a window which looks like the skin selector window and lets you choose a picture of your "Screenshots" folder.

- Maniahome improvements: same as in the buddy chat. Also: Auto refresh for the Maniahome Window on the homemenu when returning to it (for example after viewing comments or playing games)

and my biggest wish:

- TMUF title (10 € - 20 €): Since I know that all environments on TM² are pretty much noslide environments I would rather prefer some environments where it is even more difficult to play on.

I am really optimistic regarding what you've planned so far!
