Nice.
Thanks. I just found my old ManiaHome notification (from 8 months ago) where I said I claimed the 4th worldwide official time on that track. I believe I had spent a good amount of time on it, trying to improve my handling throughout the track (practising with online ghosts) while keeping speed, yet I wasted a bunch of official attempts which added to frustration.
Eventually, after all this time, I succeeded in driving this exceptionally fast time (with one or two close calls) right after I called for official mode. This probably was my first official time taking over the worldwide Top 10 on a Nadeo track, and it earned me an insane amount of SP (still over 130k and still 10th today).

Now for the "fun" fact :
Ironically, I don't remember ever once taking over a worldwide Top 10 on the TMU/TMUF game which allowed me to do plenty of official attempts as long as I had enough coppers, even though I've had a few great official times on TMUF race tracks giving me many thousands of SP.

Also, I still have a lot of solo tracks to unlock; so far I've only completed every track till B05. The reason for this (and the reason why "I find it hard to play through Canyon's solo campaign"), is that, to me, the official mode system is as attractive (because of the pop-up appearing at least every minute, and because I tend to forget about the "Quit" button) as it is exhausting/repulsive (because long hard-core driving sessions on Canyon give me a lot of pressure...).

This is quite different from my TMU/TMUF times wherein I was able to keep focusing on getting medals without getting the will to attempt official mode on every track I play. In fact, I completed most of the solo campaigns (in terms of medals); all that remains is grabbing the author medal on PuzzleB2 (really, really hard time objective!), and finishing up the StarTrack campaign. With that said, I haven't been playing much TM nowadays.

I do come back once every couple of months as it's a nice looking game but still find the same uninviting type of tracks that everyone seems to copy off everyone else :( The only difference in the game being that each time I visit there are less servers and even less players (65 last time :( ). I get bored very quickly again of the 'sameness' and return to TMUF. I'm a racer, not a 'shooter' or a 'quester' so have no interest in the other Nadeo titles. Will try again in another month or two when it will hopefully be more exciting.

Or you could host your own server with the type of tracks you want. Promote it among your friends. Or even make a competition on the server with best local times on the server maps during a given month. And then promote the competition around MX and MP Forums. Players will come, and you will be contributing to the type of game you want it to be. Nothing happens unless someone takes the initiative.

few people have the ability to set up their own server. and if he likes TMNF more than Canyon, let it be. especially when getting fun from TMNF doesn't require from you making your server...

That was actually a quote from Dimitri1993, Not Me, although I do agree with it. An honest mistake I'm sure.

I am really disappointed by Nadeo in every aspect.

They made so many promises - and about 95% were lies

Nadeo could have said in first place that their release plan schedule won't work, Valley should already be released .....

Canyon may be the last Nadeo product I have bought. Canyon just doesn't give the feeling you had on Sunrise or other titles.

->same boring ladder system then TMUF... well I won't start again , mentioned it many times in other posts

actually I don't care anymore - is this silly single player timer still implemented in the game? - did they finally implemented Stunt/Puzzle Mode? - do "planets" actually care anyone anymore?

Nadeo said Trackmania 2 will be Trackmania just bigger and better (actually quote from "Bob" Interview, but I can't see anything familiar with trackmania 1.

Didn't play TM2 since 6 month now and I don't miss it at all. I will test Valley and if it's the same disappointment as Canyon I will stop buying any Product Nadeo releases.

/last post was 2 month ago , next one is maybe coming if anything finally changes but that won't happen Iguess ;)

RE: wiidesire-2 and Omnixor:
Sorry Dudes, but I of course disagree on most accounts.
Nadeo does not disappoint me.
They didn't lie. They ran into unforeseen issues.
How could they know in the beginning that they would run into problems and set backs? If they could see the future, don't you think there would be less backlash?
I will continue to buy Nadeo titles.
I think TM2 is bigger and better and still growing.

All constructive feedback is good for growth though.
