TMS was originally released as a sequel to TMPU like TM2 will be now a sequel to TM1. As far as I know, Power Up was updated to the "new" TMS engine by the Level Up add on. Not until this add on was released for four months, TMN came out! And finally, one year later they got united while TM2 was already developing ... quite a contrary.
