A quick guide how to big nice gifs like these would be very much appreciated!

You can also do this with VirtualDub (just make sure your video is AVI).

1. To choose a desired fragment, mark beginning on the timescale with Home button, and end with End (precision up to frames).
2. Edit -> Crop to selection
3. Video -> Filters. Click "Add" and choose "resize", there you can determine your output resolution.
4. File -> Export -> Animated GIF

My way is simpler, I hope.
