I didn't mean to bring up an argument of "Stadium vs all other TMU environments" but I'm sure we can all agree that the popularity and the accessibility of Stadium is going to be ... best put, the 'benchmark' for what people will initially compare Canyon too, i.e. "The car drifts like StadiumCar, the car accelerates similar to StadiumCar, etc, etc."
From what I've seen in the trailers, it doesn't. Nadeo have apparently said that the car is heavier than other TM cars; what that suggests to me is the car is going to be slow in changing direction (heavier cars are natively slower in achieving maximum steering lock). I could easily say the reasoning behind this would be to make the car's handling more accessible for keyboard players (
hey, like Stadium's handling!
) but since this is mere speculation, I could be as wrong as I could be right.
I'm simply hoping that the learning curve of Canyon's physics is easy, like Stadium's. That's it. I'm sure Nadeo will surprise us with a very unique-driving car.
