"Player key is already in use" - What? [solved]

I once again lost my validation key somehow. I found an old mail from MainaPlanet that contained a validation key but that doesn't work for some reason. So in order to get a new one I have to enter a player key.

Since I bought Trackmania 2 Stadium through steam I simply went into my library, found my CD-Key and entered it into the player key section. What I get is an error that says "Player key is already in use".

Now I've been searching the forums, and people say that I should go to http://support.ubi.com but come on, they even force me to create a new account to contact support... Am I entering the correct key or what? Can I mail someone to get a new validation key or something? Thanks.

Yes I try to generate there but I need the player key in order to do so.

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but where do I find "Title Pack Menu", I'm a bit confused when you say "ManiaPlanet > Title Pack Menu", could you link me the url to it? :/ I used the key that I found under game properties in Steam and I got this error.

Just get into any game (Stadium, etc) and in Profile tab look for "Show key" tab. It might be in Advanced submenu but I'm not sure.

In Maniaplanet you cannot see your key, you can only enter them.
Only in Steam, around the properties of the game, you can see the key.

To retrieve a new validation code, go to the page domino54 has referred.

If it is not working, make sure your Stadium is not running in demo mode (no timeout in the main menu).

And also make sure you are using the maniaplanet account where Steam had activated the keys automatically (typically the first account you're using when starting Maniaplanet-Stadium from Steam).

You can, at least it was possible before ManiaPlanet 3 as I remember (must be in Steam version).

It was definitely never possible in the standalone version.
And in Steam... perhaps, but I never checked there, as I don't use the Steam version because of its restrictions with mutli-title play, and retrieveing the CD-Key is much easier without starting the game (however, the game needs to be installed otherwise it won't show up).

I can't access that for some reason. I can see the "Show Key" tab under the profile tab, but I can't click it. I can't even click on other stuff, I'm only able to change colors. I believe it would've shown the same key that is on Steam however.

Yeah I can't get a validation code withot my player key, since the validation code I got on my mail doesn't work.

Is there any way to check what login I have when I log into Trackmania? All I can see under profiles is my username that I use ingame. But I do believe I only have 1 login.

Another possibility is to launch Stadium, and inside Stadium profile menu, access your player page.

Did you try uninstalling Stadium from Steam, and installing it again?
It always has been a hassle with the key activations there in the past...

Otherwise anybody could create Ubi support accounts and claim information about alien Maniaplanet accounts...

I solved it. When I started up Stadium I went into profiles, turns out it was another profile and not the one I use here on the forums. I logged in with that username on this page: https://player.maniaplanet.com/account/validation-code and pasted the CD-Key that I had on Steam and I got a new one. It's kinda weird though. I don't get how I could've logged into https://player.maniaplanet.com/account/validation-code with my forum account, I thought that was separate. If it was I'd probably figure this out earlier.
