No, I fear not. Actually the registration to the beta was told to be done until May 18th when the beta started.
And now the beta ended, so there is no new access possible.

Well, I own every TMs since the first one, was in almost all betas, bought TM Turbo on PC before launch, and I won't be able to get Lagoon because I missed the beta (because nothing told me I could) ??

Should I thank Ubi or Nadeo for this ?
I can't download the demo to link my MP account to Uplay, it just gives an error.

I'm very disappointed, I still hope this changes, but if not, I won't buy Lagoon "again".

For steam users and uplay users, you will be able to launch Trackmania 2 Lagoon by the same way you had during the beta (through another maniaplanet 2 title).

It would be nicer to be able to launch directly Trackmania Lagoon.
And for our friends on Steam who see that we are playing Lagoon, it is an ad for the game.

Actually all players (steam, uplay or maniaplanet) who could play Trackmania 2 Lagoon can now play Trackmania 2 Lagoon on maniaplanet.

Fun fact: I am certain I registered for the beta on the player page a while ago, probably before that date. Never got any notification or access to it.
So the beta registration was a raffle for free lagoon?

Clarification:
Certainly registered for it on May 10th, maybe May 11th on the Playerpage. I remember entering my maniaplanet login and password to register.
However I never saw the forum post here, so I didn't do that first step (Download SM in Uplay to connect the accounts). Figured I'd get a e-mail notification if I got in.

Rant:
Was there really no easier way to link the accounts? I would have had to download a Shootmania Demo, even though I own SM on Maniaplanet just to log in once to link the uplay and maniaplanet accounts? Great user experience.
Wouldn't it have been easier to just add a "Connect with UPlay" button on the playerpage where I login with my UPlay credentials and the accounts are linked? Just like you can use Steam, Google, Twitter, Facebook or any other site to log-in on every other site? I am sure there is a UPlay API accessable for you, nadeo for those things, since https://players.turbo.trackmania.com/ exists.
This, the still not intuitive and easy to use Maniaplanet main menu and all these little bugs here and there really make me wonder if I can justify buying Lagoon now.

If there would not have been the option for owners of TMTurbo to get the Lagoon title for free, I would have bought it without hesitation. And I probably will buy it sooner or later to be able to play with my friends and because after all I am a nadeo/trackmania fanboy. It just feels like I am being charged for the same thing twice, while others are not.
You might see it as a reward for good and intense beta testing, wich is just.

There was a procedure described, and it was not too complicated after all.
It was not Turbo that had to launch Maniaplanet (because Turbo is a Maniaplanet derivate, after all), you had to install the Shootmania demo in Uplay and launch that.
But now it is too late.

In the meantime I have read some messages from Hylis in this forum.
At the moment, only the Maniaplanet 4 beta and Lagoon beta testers have Lagoon "for free for some time".
What this means in detail, and if regular Turbo owners also get Lagoon, we have to see later.

However, eveyone can apparently play Lagoon for free tonight in the channel.
For this your Maniaplanet client of course needs to be updated to the version 4.

• Yes, the described procedure was too complicated, it required downloading a client which I already have outside of UPlay.
• We have to see later won't help people who would like to get the game now.
• Clicking play on channels does not work for me for some reason.

So now you're basically saying we will get it for free if we can download the shootmania demo, but a couple of hours ago you said we wouldn't get lagoon for free.

I don't know what you are reading and understanding but it looks like you're mixing up things a bit.
Agreed that it is not all easy at the moment, but I can also only write what I know from the other messages in the forum and from own experience.

The Shootmania demo in Uplay (hence Maniaplanet started from inside Uplay) is necessary for the detection that you really have Turbo in Uplay.
Similar for Steam versions.

Only if the beta for Lagoon was acknowledged and the beta testers were able to see Lagoon in their titles and download / install it there, they can continue to play the full version for some time (restrictions might apply in future).

All the others, e.g. those you are trying to register only since today, I don't know.
Registration for the Lagoon beta in the Maniaplanet profile seems to be still possible,
but e.g. if you cannot follow the procedure, you can't get Lagoon at the moment (like as beta).
And since there are knowingly issues with Uplay, you have to wait until this gets resolved.
Certainly not anymore tonight.

However Lagoon is released and available for purchase if you really intend to have it.
If it can be downloaded properly there as well, I don't know.

And it seems to be working as of today, at least with Steam: I launched ManiaPlanet from Steam, registered for the beta on my player page, then launched the standalone and I was able to enter Lagoon on the account I used with the Steam version. My other account still can't so I guess everything went fine.
