Nadeo what the heck have you done to hotseat mode??????

You're right... Maniaplanet 4 has been released in May and after 3 months of updates I don't see any change with the initial release...
The way to select maps is now really shitty... forced to select maps 1 by 1, really boring if you have more than 200 maps to choose...
And the scripted modes are really strange too...

Well Nadeo made Maniaplanet 4, I hope they'll improve that in the next months but unfortunately I don't think so...

Yeah, I feel everyone's pain here... Same here. I play TM with my friends on the couch in hotseat mode.
That should be "played" actually, because it's broken and still not fixed.

Can you imagine there faces when I had to say: "Hey guys, there's a new improved Maniaplanet version and stuff... but we can't play anymore..."

We'll have to do it ourselves... so here's a pro tip:

Yet this is the biggest problem of Nadeo right now.
They break things working before and they are not to fix them because it isn't a priority...

I think Title Maker was probably the biggest mistake of Maniaplanet 4. It closed a lot of Maniaplanet possibilities, for example, reading user files is almost impossible now. The tool generates this buggy weird looking UI (the old UI didn't have problems, at all!). The tool changed the point of title packs - now they are just campaigns, title packs used to be a whole new experience in the past.
The implementation of this tool made so many bugs in non-mainstream parts of Maniaplanet, and because it isn't a priority, those things will never be fixed. It's kinda sad.

Yes very frustrating to have your favourite game mode or feature broken and for it to never be fixed. This kind of lack of quality control would never be allowed on consoles but PC gamers seem to have to put up with it.

Hi,

To come back on the topic, the MP3 version can be more comfortable to use when you want to play a lot of different maps on Hotseat. And you can still use it here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=41242.

If it's not a question of maps number, the MP4 version works well. You can play any map you want but first you have to add maps that you play to want into the folder (C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Documents\ManiaPlanet\Maps\Downloaded) and don't forget to select a game mode to be able to launch the hotseat.
