Because I don't get it. Other than the potential shortage of blocks, which has aready been said that it's going to be addressed, I don't understand what's not to like about Canyon. People say it's "not innovative." Well, what exactly were you expecting? For the TM-Franchise to suddenly morph into Burnout? They have a formula, and that formula has netted them 9 million copies of a game--I'd say the formula works pretty well. So, answer the titular question, please, and I thank you.

Your... English... makes no sense
Re: Question to all TM2 players--what's wrong with Canyon?
It requires sliding to go fast, and you actually go noslide almost everywhere if you don't force a slide. That's the worst thing for me. Noslide has to require skills to perform it.
This brings us conveniently to the second point. It barely gives any advantage to analogue control, and rather disadvantages joysticks and wheels.
Apart from that it's fine, I think. :p

why it has to require them? in stadium it doesn't require them, does it bother you?Noslide has to require skills to perform it.

Actually, yes.Omnixor wrote: why it has to require them? in stadium it doesn't require them, does it bother you?

Re: Question to all TM2 players--what's wrong with Canyon?
You should look at it the other way around. For example in Island noslide was the faster way to turn and therefore harder to do. In Canyon the faster way to turn is usually the slide and therefore that should be and is what requires more skill to be executed perfectly. It`s just a totally different handling, you shouldn`t generalize it like that imo.Forgot10 wrote:It requires sliding to go fast, and you actually go noslide almost everywhere if you don't force a slide. I myself like everything about Canyon currently except the few bugs and some missing blocks which all will be fixed at release hopefully

Re: Question to all TM2 players--what's wrong with Canyon?
Apart from the missing blocks i adore the new tm specially like the normal roads where good throttle control and 100 percent concentration is required but again i love the other blocks as well. To all the people moaning and bitching think about this we have only had the beta a week or so wait till we get the full game and also i would say that in every tm we as players have our favoured enviroments just because canyon might not be to your taste then maybe valley or the third area might be. Also i for one am looking forward to all that the guys at nadeo have in store for us and i am sure in a year or so we will all be happy bunnies.

Re: Question to all TM2 players--what's wrong with Canyon?
Nice write. I like the fact you can't full speed everything, this coming from a full speed only person in tmuf. I'd rather have tracks made in ways where good drivers complete a track because they know when to slow down then have everyone take the same dang path because it's the shortest, not worrying about speed, just path... skill > tediousness imo...Ravious wrote:Ha, that's funny. I think that pretty much sums up the reason, IMHO, there is some backlash.

then how come i beat many people on a ps2 controller than on keyboard? I don't even use a good controller, i can slide just fine.Forgot10 wrote:It requires sliding to go fast, and you actually go noslide almost everywhere if you don't force a slide.
