:gotcha:
huh?

The point of the blocks shouldn't be to introduce memorization into maps that will be played more than others, such as crusard maps in trackmania. They should be a "run and pick up" block and you're always moving. If you had a sniper and felt like camping in a tower, so be it, but you shouldn't camp in that tower because you had to, but because you wanted to.

i see what you mean but i think that SM is going to be different from all other shooters in that it will not be possible to learn every map in the game and know the sniper spots and where the campers will be like in CoD or others, in SM it would be helpful to the experienced players when on a new map to see certain blocks and think, oh thats a sniper tower and such...... similar to sign usage in TM right now. the signs show you the route and it is also possible for experienced players to see the route based on block place-age and other factors.

So you're saying in the end, even if you know the map, it won't make much of a difference and we'll still end up moving around everywhere anyhow?

Actually he's saying that without knowing the map, experienced players will be able to pinpoint the route by looking at the locations of certain elements (For instance, if you see a sniper tower, there must be some kind of long alley around)
So it's kinda the same as in trackmania. If you see a few wallrides, you already know there must be some boosters.

Yeah your right.
There's no place for the weak on this earth. Weapons like collapsible police baton are created to be used.

Hopefully this will be as good as unreal tournament. Both arcadey pick up and play. No 600 guns? Great! Same set for everyone. Skill is the only thing that matters, not how long you have played and how many points you have racked up.

Cant really say anything about gameplay until I see a video but fingers crossed...

However bots are a must. I don't like buying games that require me to go online every time I play it...especially shooters where the learning curve against experienced players is just too huge for someone who will only play it maybe 3 hours a week.

To get things back on topic (and to the previous poster, sounds like this site is blocked in your country, I suggest TOR, Privoxy, or some other IP-scrambling service to get around this), I present to you an old picture of both Maniaplanet and SM:Storm. To writ: this picture was around when SM:Cryo was still being hashed about...does this mean that SM:Cryo is actually a subset of SM:Storm? Also, to discuss: The maniaplanet interface itself. What does it do? Are there more options in -this- options menu than what is currently in TM2? Why was it not included, even as a single title, in the TM2 release? And what are those three little squares near the top of the "CD-Case" of each title, below the title on the box itself?
