You still are shooting in first person, even in TF2, and that is a very violent act.

Yeah i would buy that!! a non violent skilled shooter

aims... pulls trigger.. squirts his waterpistol
hahaa now you're all wet.

what about capture the flower.. or puppy rescue.. and instead of bomb defusal make it jenga.. that would rock.

sorry, went in overdrive for a second. what i was trying to say was the fact a 1st person shooter can never be non violent. there's always the part where you have to shoot the opponent to make him lose.

PC version of Portal is in fact First Person. Portal 2 has some violence, but nowhere near other games (and you never actually get hit unless it's a turret or you're even more stupid than Wheatly).

Yeash... Pokemon is more violent than Portal and Portal 2 in some cases! I mean think about it, would you rather die (if you absolutely had to chose between the two) because you were shot by a turret or because a giant crab chopped your head off? I'd take the turret, personally - it's a lot less messy (and thus less bloody).

I'm not into extreme violence (I make an exception for TF2 because it does it in a comical way) but sometimes the removal of violence can go way too far - like sillygibs in TF2 (interesting thing you might want to know, metoxys, the American version of TF2 has sillygibs available as a clientside variable, I'm sure it's the same except set to on as a default for the EU version).

I have to admit that from the look of the trailer, im not expecting gore on the level of Unreal tournament. :)
