I got the same problem and want to dl VR/GR and get the same inexpressively error message.
What does "not for public" means? Only VIPs are allowed to dl data which should be avaiable for - exactly - the public?! My opinion abiut that: Where is the sense then - this feature should be availabloe for all and not only for your friends or m8s. And if you want/force ppl to donate euros to get their account upgraded to be able to dl replays then you need to edit this error message and tell exactly how much to donate and then how to upgrade the account.

The possibility to download Replays of the records is the only reason why i switched our servers from modern awesome looking and user-friendly maniarecord to the "somewhat aged looking" and (in my eyes) a little cluttered dedimania.

Is there any date when "it will come later" and the "public" will be able to dl replays?


( By the way: Is there a way to show a all-maps-overview of one server on dedimania? I am too blind to find it I mean something like this: http://tm.maniarecords.org/?a=serverinfo&serverid=283 and therefore: it it planed (or even already exists atm) to show how many servers are running a map on dedimania? I mean like this: http://tm.maniarecords.org/?a=trackinfo ... t5_1bXpX4f look at the top right info panel where is says "Seen on Servers" and (3.rd question) will there be any MX-inclusion of dedimania anytime like you have seen on the previous link? )

I can add manually few ones of course, but we are speaking here about small donations, and i won't handle them manually. "Not actually for public, it will come later." means available for all one the automatic process which will handle it will be finished and activated.

If you don't want to wait, I have replied something about it on this french topic, if you are motivated you can pick in it the donations prices. Send a pm before, or eventually indicate the wanted changes in the donation commentary field.

Replays are used for records checking, it is its real main puropose. The possibility to dl the best ones is a bonus side effect.

No, actually you can see on which servers a map is currently played, there is no history. Perhaps that i add a recent history of maps on servers.

That could be a true argument slig, but this will never happen at Trackmania 2. The chance that there will be 500K maps and 40K servers is low. So we are actually only talking about Trackamania 2 and not free2play games where every 2nd dude means he needs to open a server

Anyway, the reasons why we have switched to dedimania instead of staying at more modern maniarecords are:
1. The possibility to dl the replays of the top times or only if the #1 world record time. To see if someone chaeated, if someone found a unwanted shortcut or just to learn something from him to drive a better time.
2. We are used to have an overall overview-site of all maps on a server and to see on how many servers the maps are beeing played - this a great value and helpful features.

if i got you right, then the second point above will never be possible at dedimania right? So then please tell me something about the first point - when will it be possible for all players to even dl the #1 time replay of a map?

Because if we can't use even one of the above mentioned points, then we have to switch back to maniarecords as we have more advantages and a more modern and user-friendly site there. But this of course is subjective in the eye of the beholder. And it is kinda normal that a site that is founded 2006 has to have some lack of design and userfriendly abilities. But this is also a matter of personal taste.

I just were very happy and motivated as i had read that dedimania is now be available for Trackmania 2 finally. But now i am brought back down to earth as i realized that dedimania wont bring me any advantage in comparison with maniarecords. If i cant use replay dl on dedimania and dont have a site where i can see all maps of a server including the number of servers where our maps are online, then maniarecords will be the site with the advantages.

So i am kinda confused which world record database to use for our servers.

The FAST Matchlog will show you all the tracks that have been played on a server, and the results for each race. If you are looking for cheaters, then I would think using that log file would be the easiest way to do it.

edit: i misread hub and not hud ^^ as indicated by mort, the gpp plugin includes an admin bar.

You can type "/help" and "/help adm" to get all the commands, or you could use the GPP plugin if you want a GUI button display of some of the admin commands instead of using text entries on the chat line.
