Re: Shootmania Picture/Video/Article Collection
I'm -seriously- going to be psyched if they can be as fully editable as the cars...and not just restricted to team colors. Well, of course team colors are a must, but I'd like to be able to design my own "TRON-lines" designs or what have you...

source:Players can display team or sponsor logos on their backs, and on the holographic symbols that rise over captured objectives. All of this, according to Castelnérac, is in response to input from the professional e-sports community.

Re: Shootmania Picture/Video/Article Collection
Looks nice, but what's the ManiaGames thing? Isn't it ManiaPlanet?

I think that's his own logo.
On the "covers" he still put the Maniaplanet logo, and he didn't say he was trying to make realistic CDs too (unless I missed that part).
They look great BTW.

The eyes of the plush lobster stared deep into my soul. I picked it up, and then I was a panther.

You can find some questions/answers ask to Hylis on TeamSpeak, one week ago.

Re: Shootmania Picture/Video/Article Collection
Interesting, but my biggest concern
is not answered with that. How to valid a map on SM? Do we need to put it on an online server?
Where do we put it online? If I build a map for 16 players or so, how can I ensure that it will be played by approximately 16 people? What if it's totally awesome but I can't get that much players to play it. Are there servers by Nadeo where everyone can upload their maps? That could work but if there are enough cool user-powered servers, who would join these Nadeo servers when there are probably many bad maps uploaded too? Has anyone the answer to that question or any idea?So there are no bots, they won’t be smart enough to valid it. We do our map, test it by walking around to see if the paths are alright there is a plugin system for the map to see if all the fundamentals are respected (for example: the polls of colors, the spawns) and after that you will be able to put it online.
Re: Shootmania Picture/Video/Article Collection
Hylis told during this evening, that you will be able to rent servers via ManiaHost to test your maps.
