@ dejamo42
I clearly don't understand how people can be so negative and call the game sh*te and still read the forums and have the audacity to post negative comments here.

@ sanjozka
As for your question .. well lots have actually happened, but not really transparent if you just race. It's TM, there is always development being done by both the community and Nadeo :pil Just watch this space :3

yes of course, but neverending waiting and checking forum is also not solution. In canyon miss me very very the possibility to watch other players replays in single player mode, in order to learn something. Driving with their ghost cars really dont help me. It is great feature for beginners, but incomprehensible they didnt include it. Half about year and nothing. This one thing is really annoying me. I remember the people was asking to add this feature and me amongst them.

i understand that nadeo is small company and small companies have it hard these days amongst big game producing comapnies. Therefore support should be their best gun. Instead nadeo started working on many projects like valley and shootmania and there is no time for canyon support, which is understandable because they dont have thousands of developers. But they should set apart a few programmers that will be reading suggestions forum and implementing these often simple features the people are asking for. I believe that it will be much better when shootmania or valley comes out, but when it will be ?.

I almost feel alone in saying that I like the game just fine the way it is.
Don't get me wrong, I'm longing for improvements, but I'm having fun with what is in it now.

Looks like it is the main change which we have for the last 100 days.

Many things has been changed in 100 days. New models, new skins, new mods for example. Don't forget Nadeo built a piano and we play with. The community do his job with many creations. Unfortunetely a lot of players play only with the canyon car, many servers use the same maps. But i'm sure Canyon is not boring at all if you build map with Unlimiter, if you drive a new model with a nice skin, and of course if you travel with mods. Next step, the custom blocks just arrive. Many new possibilities inside.
So don't expect everything from Nadeo. Community provide you right now many new features and when you see what arc_ is doing (unlimiter and MPBC) the future will be very interesting.
I just hope Nadeo will stop some limitations for custom blocks or editor. This point is very important for the creative community. Then, with the "title packs", our piano will have more possibilities. Just open your eyes ;)

Everyone has different expectations. The unfortunate thing about the situation with TM is that a lot of things Nadeo said back in 2010 haven't come to fruition yet or were scrapped altogether. This crushes some of those expectations and makes it understandable that some are quite irked. Also the lack of some basic game modes at release like Platform and Stunt makes it feel like Canyon is stripped down compared to previous iterations of TM. But of course, it only appears that way to people who played United. If you've never played TM before (or only played TMNF), you wouldn't know what you're "missing".

I choose to enjoy the game for what it is right now, while still remaining keenly interested and optimistic about what things will be added in the near future. Hylis has again and again said that it's their plan to start slow and that the momentum will gradually pick up as more titles are released. This is exactly what they've done.

One thing is for sure... Nadeo always has some surprises up their sleeve, like the podium block that came out of nowhere during the Canyon beta. It brings a whole other area of creativity to MediaTracker by allowing you to set a camera for the podium.

I have no doubt that in a few years when we have more titles and a more fleshed out platform with ManiaPlanet... things will look a lot different than they do now. With greater diversity will come an even more diverse community. If it all happened overnight we would have too much to digest too fast.

I mean, how many of you have even dived into all the options in the game as it is now? I can tell you that I personally haven't even touched half of the new things in MediaTracker. And there's some blocks in the editor I haven't used in a map yet.

It's true that Nadeo has seemingly failed from our perspective on the proposed timetable of releases (remember this?). It's also true that some people make it worse by reacting as if this is some sort of an unusual thing. Game releases and feature updates are almost always delayed for one reason or another (hopefully in the interest of improving the quality of the release). Wouldn't we rather a more fleshed out release with less bugs than one that is hurried too quickly? That takes time. There's no way around it.

I think lately some people are too impatient and want a quick fix rather than digging deeper into what is already offered. It's not just about TM, but about the consumption of entertainment in general. I'm not saying that it's going to change. But it definitely seems like people could stand to step back and analyze how important it is to them that some feature is added. I mean, how important is it really? I know we all love TM and for some of us it seems to consume a lot of time and mental energy. But to me, no game is worth getting up and arms about to that degree. There's so much to do on and offline, whether it's in TM or in other games or various creative pursuits. To me it's not worth worrying every day about some feature that won't come until it's done anyway.

I hope you didn't read that as a rant. It's just some observations I've made.

Above all... Stay involved. Stay positive.
