I agree, that there are plenty of things, which could be done better in Trackmania. Everyone can see that and most of us wish them to be fixed (even Nadeo does).
So what are the reason Nadeo does not fix them?
TIME!
Nadeo has no endless capacities. They are a relatively small team of developers.
Their current priorities are the development of shootmania and Maniaplanet 2.0 (and valley afterwards, I guess).
And because nobody wants to wait long for the new stuff, Nadeo uses all their power on this new stuff to finish it as fast as possible. (They also gain more money with the new stuff, but this is a different reason :D ) Therefore, Nadeo has no time to fix the problems in TMUF/TMNF, although they know the issues and wished them to be fixed.
If they started to fix the problems in TMUF/TMNF, it would slow down the process of developing SM and MP 2.0 and the new stuff. Then we would have to wait longer for the new things and many people would flame about the release dates.

To keep it simple: Nadeo use 100% of their energy to bring SM and MP2.0 fast enough, so that there is 0% of their energy for other stuff left. got it? :p

Even this discussion costs some time :0010

EDIT: I am happy with the current situation of TM, as I see and except it how it is. I still have FUN!

Indeed, people just don't want you to say that you like the game.
Just felt like quoting it, since it's really true.

im not sure if by people you include me or not, but i definitely have nothing against people writing good things about Nadeo and their games, it's definitely a good thing, and i've done it too you know. but what i think is troublesome is that once people do come with actual criticism, which is something that is ALSO needed and important, it's often looked down as "being negative" or "whining" or "insulting", which i don't think is a good thing. and it seems like now, these posts will even start being "moderated" as was the case with my post, which i don't think had anything wrong in it. is that a good and healthy direction to take? i don't think so.

and yes, i am saving this post in case it also gets "moderated". in that case i will post it on my facebook page, like i did with the previous one aswell.

It depends on how many people have already said the same criticism without offering anything new.
Most of these criticism threads are pure rehashes of discussions that we had months ago -- or on the old TM-Forum. I don't think anyone would have a problem if these people actually suggested solutions or even came up with new things they didn't like that hadn't been posted before. I know I wouldn't.
The fact that so many people hate Freezone but no one who I've seen has come up with a better solution to suggest to Nadeo, I hate to say this, but it probably means that Freezone is the best solution. If you don't agree, then let's come up with some solutions!

like i pointed out in my post that got moderated, there's several good suggestions being given here: http://tm-freezone.org/index.php i suggest you read them.

i also in that post gave an example of how a f2p game like League of Legends creates revenue. i think something similar could fit well for a game/esport like TMNF. so yeah of course people cant give suggestions if their posts with suggestions gets removed. as i said, i don't think that's a good thing.

and yeah, i do agree with there not really being any point in being repetitive. which is why i didn't really write much in details in this topic because i had already written it elsewhere. but i still wanted to write in the topic and give support to the topic-creator because i think he wrote alot of good stuff. and i don't think it's anything wrong if people give their support that way, because maybe that makes Nadeo see where they are coming from more clearly. and talking about being repetitive, i equally don't really see the point in writing the same positive things over and over like some people do.

You can include myself also in that statement, partially. You probably fit in it as well(, partially).

Just don't take it too serious, but you have for sure responded like [woooo how can you like that game?!], towards people who like(d) the game. So have I.
And I'm very sure a lot of more people are like this. Most are silent tho.

I've played all the Trackmania releases from the beginning and I for one love the game the way it is. Sure it's got a few bugs but nothing major and I'm sure I will love it even more after future updates. They just keep getting better.

There is nothing wrong with criticism. Constructive criticism is a good thing. It promotes growth. However, there is nothing good or noble about personal attacks, and stating that Nadeo and the people who work there don't care about the people is personal, in my opinion, and really quite absurd. If they didn't care they wouldn't be here.

Also, I think it's cool that luftisbollentm2 wants to help but fixing bugs in a program is much more complicated than just finding them. Sometimes in programming fixing a simple problem can create ten more problems and before you know it you've got a huge mess.

I for one think the team at Nadeo is doing great job and producing a far better product than most other companies out there and I say keep up the good work. If anyone wants to call me a kiss ass, go for it. It's my point of view and I stand by it. ☺

I don't agree with bugs need fixing in TM1??.. u mean block features that increase boost & clip block joins etc.?

Yes blocks are more pronounced in TM2 (great game btw), it feels easier than TM1; especially for fs-tech maps and getting predictable for some styles- ganjarider! (lol).

The following is my opinion.

-all energy on Stadium 2 ( better 1 good environment
then 3 half finishesd ones)
-with more arcade steering then canyon
-even less realistic approach then canyon
-far more blocks
-more fun blocks
-better support for mods and different modes (but thats
planned in maniaplanet 2.0 i think)

And with the above make it a pay model like for example
league of legend has. Free to play fits the trackmania universe better.
Make money from, for example, selling blocks, cars, probs, renting
servers etc.etc. Community would grow a lot bigger. The game only works with
large community and that you will get with free to play.
And if 15.000.000 people play stadium 2 and lets say 10% of them would buy stuff
like probs and blocks the money Nadeo needs will come.

I still like TM so much and hope the Nadeo team understands
his community well enough and not just make new environments
because Nadeo want to do something else than Stadium. Stadium
works and I think it made trackmania shine the most bright. Learn from
it and build on it instead of trying something new. Just make it better. And make it a better
free to play model (league of legends!!)

But keep up the good work! You guys are making ovetime to give us the best
product you can! We believe in you Hylis. You did it once, you can do it again!

This is all my opinion!
