Petition for a TM² Multiplayer Editor Title Pack! A similar request was already as a Suggestion in the English/Shootmania/Map Editor section...and as quotes below show the idea/suggestion is even older, so maybe lets now try a 'Petition':
Hopefully good arguments why this is important are listed below.

It hasn't been released yet ; )
TGYoshi wrote:The editor communicates with other editors (near infinite builders) through a TCP connection, ran via an external application. Maniaplanet communicates with this application through xml-rpc callbacks.Hylis wrote:with real time chat system, we would like to pass through editor scripted manipulation or map state, so maybe it would be feasible through this channel, but I don't know.
It is quite fast and works flawless block-based (in the latest version, the video is severely outdated).
I haven't got over serializing and deserializing terrain correctly yet, that bit's buggy.

Something like a Multiplayer-Title should at least have the support of Nadeo, otherwise it would be too much work to maintain (see _arc and TM2Unlimiter for example).TGYoshi wrote:Well, it was more a fun experiment and I never really thought people would use it because it still requires an external application and someone running a server for it.
Maybe soon(tm) I'll get onto it again.
Having a Multiplayer Editor would be a chance to "keep the talent" in the community.
I was struggling if i should mention another game for my argument, because the point is valid without an example.
Minecraft has for a lack of a better word 'bad' graphics, terrible game mechanics...but there is a reason why there are nearly 10M copies sold (https://minecraft.net/stats), while a huge number will never use Multiplayer Editing it is big part of the "media buzz" about MC. Middle earth, Manhattan the huge projects "make the news" and keep the hype up. So despite the graphics and the game mechanics there are things to learn from Minecraft.
A community can build together.
So this indeed was already asked a few times for TrackMania! So the idea isn't new, on the contrary the idea is way overdue :->TMarc wrote:The idea by itself is not really new, this was also already asked a few times for TrackMania already in the past,
but though it is very complex, it could be very fun. I'm for it : thumbsup :
Maybe something like this already is in development in Nadeo's X-Labs. If not it really should be :- D

Please, set the Mulitplayer Editor on the list of the 'cool stuff' at some point in the future : )Hylis wrote:the title of the topic is much less interesting than the discussion itself
We would like to work on it, but are working on other stuff at the moment. It means that we will probably do something for this one day, but we will do cooler stuff before. Haha, I am just provocating here : mrgreen : (but I am serious, it is to cool)
It have been the talented people, the very active community members who asked for a Mulitplayer Editor. Resources and time for Nadeo of course are limited. And there are many wishes. And Nadeo is exceptional in keeping the community interested and happy. There are many "Social Media Features" in Maniaplanet, but a Multiplayer Editor would easily top all those features.

Article is from April 17th, 2008 ...but actually quotes an interview, that 'was performed in the lead up to Trackmania Sunrise'...
“It came from the toy – the fact that you can build tracks and have a car on it,†says Florent, “You can build short tracks or long tracks, free ride tracks… you play it like you wantâ€.
Now make it: "You can build ...tracks together...â€
