Replacing Enviro-Sounds by mod or script?

Hey there,

I want to perfect the ambiance of my titlepack "TrackMania² Snow" a little bit, so I was thinking about some different sounds. I mean the environment-sounds (Ambiance, Checkpoint, Car-On-Grass-Sound etc...). I saw there is something about sounds in the mod-section on the MP-Doc (http://doc.maniaplanet.com/creation/skins/mods.html). But if you look at the root-folder of a mod /Texture/... , it isn't logic to place files there, which are in another folder on the same level as the root-folder. So if it isn't possible to replace sounds by mod (That's what I think), it's possible via script :mrgreen:

But; Which script should be edited and on which part and which script? I am not really familiar with such things and I hope you can help me :)

Working with ambiance sounds in a mod seems to work. But i can't modificate things like countdown, cp and other mp sounds...

Creating a new countdown is not that hard with Maniascript, you can also catch CP events to play sounds. But I think that the checkpoint sound can be changed with a mod.

I only found a way to replace ambiant-sounds like frogs, wind, water, birds in valley. But i think cp sounds etc are for all games in mp, so i think we need script there
