We, the Players need one place to share help for newcomers and guys going to make stuff.

We already have documentation that we can contribute, but its completely not intuitive for newbies!

Why do WE need to create web services such as ManiaCommunity? And by the way: why ManiaExchange and ManiaPark are user-made and you didnt provide it us?

You have only a Wiki, where articles are taste of sheet describing old, outdated things!

NADEO, let give EVERYONE a chance to contribute to the Wiki! Lets make this place an source for all known Mania-things!

This is the greatest part of this game, what the community brings to the game. we had mania-creative which was better then any wiki. Nadeo creates the tools, the bases and then we build on top of it.

I am not either 100% happy with their politics but I think this whole post is, useless. Nadeo has already explained why the didn't wish to continue to wiki and they created the documentation going back again and again on the same path is useless and not constructive at all. Instead we need to see how we can contribute to the documentation.

Edit : The biggest lost of this community these last years has been mania-creative that has closed, MT was explained there as long as other things. But this is also another discussion I won't get into.

Also newcomer would rather search for wiki, not "documentation", right?

The documentation needs some overdo, with screenshots for better explanation and maybe video tutorials. And it needs to be implemented into the game (with a link or a menu button), this will bring the peoples into the editing work and is much easier to find than search the forums with thousands of threads.

But it´s not complete and it´s sometimes outdated. But it´s a great collection of useful things.

The documentation of Nadeo is good but in some cases it´s a bit to technical that newbies can understand this, should be merged with things a said above (screens/videos etc.)

I discovered Maniapark after 1year of playing and only this year I discovered mania-exchange. ( I have this game 2years and 5months ) So what does this mean for others? I'm quite sure others don't know any of these websites either.

It would be nice to have a NADEO made map-editor that can automatically publish the maps you made for everyone to see/download/award/comment on. That would be awesome.
But this would most certainly mean the end of mania-exchange.

The same goes for Maniapark. Maniapark is a lovely website, but if NADEO could port this inside the game then waaaaaaaay more people would get to know it & start using it.

Let's be real honest here: If all documentation + the functionality of these websites ( maniapark & mania-exchange ) would be ingame then this would have a positive impact on the game. How big would this impact be? I dont know how big, but it would be a step forward.

Well yes, there is a problem, bu it isn't wiki vs doc problem it is with putting the doc where new players can have access to it.

I might have not understood, what you meant. For me the wiki & the doc are for players that wish to do more advance things like opening a dedicated server or using maniascript. For eveyaday players mania-exchange before any other community website needs to be pushed forward in the game, And get started style tutorials integrated to the game must be added.

I thought it was copy © and the link wasn't suppose to be accesible to public until the tutos were extracted from the © part of the website?
But yeah it would be great to be able to re-use those and put them in the current doc.
