Problem with custom content

I have a problem with custom signs and mods - basically, where should I put these? I play TM2 demo.

Signs have to be placed in Documents/ManiaPlanet/Skins/Any/Advertisement/.
Texture mods are stored in Documents/ManiaPlanet/Skins/<environment name>/Mod/.

I'm not completely sure if demo players can use these custom contents, but it's always better to try it out.

from what i noticed the demo is the full version with locked content, when i purchased TM2 ( Celebrat10n TrackMania Complete Pack actually) steam didn't download anything, just gave me they keys

i think the demo is perhaps TOO generous, there is barely any reason for someone who only plays online to buy it

You can not use colorful nickname or custom car/horn in demo.
