That's why you are working on TMT?
and remaking 3 old environments, with stadium being remade for the second time

Alone only the idea from players Nadeo should TMU-Envis in Trackmania2 bring is a clear sign that something very wrong is with TM2 !!! :(
for us players, sure, but for nadeo remaking 7 environments would be overkill and focused on making unique games instead (shootmania and questmania) to expand the ManiaPlanet platform

I guess some people (those who want the petition) are too nostalgic and ignore any valid reason that are against their desire to bring back TMUF. In addition to all good arguments mentioned in this topic, I can only advise: Stop living in old times. A new era has began (Trackmania 2) and if we want to support Trackmania and to ensure that the franchise will last for more years, we have to leave the old times (TMUF) behind. I know.. it's difficult since TMUF is for most of us a significant part of our youth. And when we play games we used to play a lot when we were younger, we always think back of these beautiful times and keep saying in our head "Damn, these were beautiful times". I have the same dilemna with TMNF or Age of Empires 2.

Anyways. Sometimes it's great to remember the old times. But seeing the big picture: It's better to move with time

If we keep supporting & playing the new trackmania games, I am sure that a new TMUF will come once all TM² environments are released. New good times to remember will come :thx:

Well, TMUF worked very well, since the release of TM²Canyon. TMUF died somewhen at the end 2012 and the activites were reduced (ESL, ET-Generation incl. Teams). I think this was the time, where nadeo began to splitt communities etc. and was focused again in Shootmania (RIP Royal^^), whatever. For me, TMUF is for me still much better, because you have a all in one paket and is more acarde style, I don't need "you have to brake for slide" envis. Environments like Bay, Desert, Rally are awesome envis [...] - but yes, there are old^^. Btw. Age of Empires 2 get still some updates at Steam, so I don't understand this comparison^^

Well, but Maniaplanet is a atm joke, with all this flooded menu and zero basic tutorials like "how to install a title".

Well, in 2020 maybe. But who knows^^

You are probably right, my example is not the best or not clear in the first place. I don't like the updates for Age of Empires II because a new developer studio is working on it. If the original team (known as Ensemble Studios who established this wonderful franchise Age of Empires) would have pushed the updates, then I would definitely play it. But according to the current situation - where other developers make profit of other's work - I don't like playing the franchise anymore. It feels like betrayal. It's truly a pity that Microsoft fired Ensemble Studios. But I can wait long since Ensemble Studios will never come back...
To make a reference with the subject here: Nadeo, who originally created TMUF, is now working on newer versions of the franchise. Not any other developer studio to pollute this great franchise. So there is no "betrayal" involved. I hope it makes sense to you now ^^

But don't let the bad & complicated example forget my core message: Move with time; play the newer versions of Trackmania to support Nadeo and thus to increase the chance that we'll see TMUF2 one day, hopefully not in 2020

Anyways, I totally agree that Maniaplanet is not doing well. Regarding its amount of players and regarding its very own system & structure. There is a lot to polish & fix. But we cannot stick to old stuff just because the new things do not work out well, no matter how long it doesn't work well. But what we can do is to apply good aspects of the old games to the newer ones like you said with the "flooded menu"

Maniaplanet has already all the environments but not snow or bay.

Valley-Rally
Canyon-Desert
Stadium-Stadium :D
Lagoon (soon)-Island
Storm-Coast
Bay- it could be made from the items and mod for valley

So, importing all the envs isn´t good idea.
Maybe snow and bay could be "imported" (but not imported as they are, but completely remaked)

That was my thinking ;)

Dayum a Bay remake would be dope af since you wouldn't need all those objects to build yourself a nice city
I'm also kinda missing the Island tunnels they should maybe do like a glass pipeline through the water with fish and some undersea animals as animated objects :D

Nadeo is going to re-re-release a 10 year old environment in TMT and you're talking about living in the past? Image

I got an idea to keep the community more together, how about updating TMUF to a new version called Trackmania Classic that works inside Maniaplanet and it's free for people who still owns their TMUF keys, with that update it gives the TM2 Graphics, better textures and HD Models, custom objects and the new features from MP and also proper support for Windows 10 and more modern support for Directx12 or 13 (including TM2) Updated car models with HD textures, models and damage, and backwars support for the tracks and mods, and maybe even the 3D Vehicle models from Trackmania-Carpark.

Also for god sakes combine the TM2 environments into one game, the fact that we had to pay them separated is completely stupid and it splits the community A LOT, I know I already repeated this over and over but I'm not the only one and a lot of people thinks the same.
