Soprah, it's hard to confirm things before the end of the month. The goal is still to resume Power Up when we would be much more available & the players as well. We worked on various stuff internally already for Power Up but the most important thing is that we have leveled up the studio & that we should have time to work fully on Shootmania.
Once TM & SM are at the top of what they could be, meaning for us once we have made all the big developments and polish, we will be able to concentrate and have time for another big journey. Until then, you should already have occasions to welcome friends on other type of the core experiences we do as we open more and more the ability to create things on MP and make it more and more smooth & powerful.

Thanks for clearing it up, Hylis
@Kripkee & Dommy,
Maybe I'll create a topic solely for this particular discussion (whether SM Cryo is senseless or not).
But for now, I have to stop laughing:

Off-topic for a second (I hope you read this Hylis)
For a little moment, there was a 3VS3 Siege mode which was both very fun and hard.
Edit: hard also means competitive to me
1/ Fun because of the reasons why people plays normal Siege. I think i don't have to explain this point. Fast, everyone plays, no need to perfectly know the map because they are usually simple to understand, the mode is fun. That's it.
2/ It was hard mainly because I've made 95% of all 3V3 siege maps. And I've put a lot of time into it. I tried to made them both fun and playable with tactics as in Elite. There's defense positions, important ways/moves. And even if it the maps aren't perfect they are correct to have fun.
I remember playing on some of these maps with people I never met before and we took defense positions and defend as if we were speaking on a vocal chat and I think it was because the maps are intuitives.
I'll add that it is not only one player attacking as in elite, it made an attack more fun & hard to made it.
I'm saying this because I have an ounce of hope into seeing this mode becoming as popular as Elite mod. It can be very competitive.
Make it happen! :p
Off-topic, off
I'm waiting end of June impatiently !

Re: End of June
You are describing one of the goal of what we intend to tackle with some of of future work. Siege 3vs3 or Elite 3vs3 @ lower level could also be something. At top level, it has to be 1vs3 for spectator to see everything that happens. It does not mean that you could not have a 3vs3 at top level, it's just that Elite or the spirit of what we have designed, at high level, is 1vs3. It's concentrating two spirit of the FPS: alone & in team, in a single mode. There is tons of things that are interesting to test, only with modes & maps, but like with Elite Exp, it was difficult to see real test on it: deep testing, improvement & maps iterations + serious training to see how it goes. So, first, we intend to help these tests as well, somehow and we will talk about this at the end of the month.
Re: End of June
Hm, I understand your point.
I'll take an exemple from an other game which is not a FPS. Watch League of Legends, there is 5vs5 players.
There's a tons of streams on it but can you really follow every actions in game? Of course no.
But it's still popular
Thanks for your reply, see you end of June

Re: End of June
A lot of things are really popular and yet, they can be improved a lot. And keep in mind that in lol there is often one center of action, one big battle etc. The view of the game is made for players to see what is happening. OW should have more difficulties in that areas. And It's not because you have a lot of units in SC that it's an issue to follow, for example, it's because a good action is difficult to see/understand, like lol
We do things how we believe it's good for the future and long term of our games. Making a game like lol is less interesting and has not even more chance to become as popular as the original, btw. I know that's not your point, but maybe it can help to understand ours as well.
Talk end of June!

Re: End of June
Hoping for a big technical boost aswell. You guys implemented so many great and useful creative tools, including what you can do with maniascript, but at the same time, most of them are not worth using for the normal user, because they tend to bug out / have unnecessary restrictions (Action Maker character movement, Selfmade bullets don't illuminate,.. etc.).
I am very positive and I really anticipate your next piece of work, although I just wanted to throw in that the worst thing about it all - and that's maybe what makes a few people really negative - is that there is so little communication about if a bug is being fixed / if something broken is being repaired (as in mechanics). Would love to see more of that, maybe in form of a "future update log".
Other than that, most of your big updates brought a lot of good things. Thanks for the work.

Re: End of June
Shootmania would definitly benefit from getting a new environment. Something fresh is needed to keep the players in the game and also to bring some players back out of curiosity.
We don't know if there will be a completely new movement and gameplay, similar to the different handling of the Trackmania cars, however I think the best implementation of Cyro would be to make it accesible via the Storm Titlepack, or at least melting the 2 Shootmania titles together somehow.
I don't talk about something like an additional titlepack for multienvironment servers, but an easy solution to play both environments on one server without installing additional stuff. Maybe even implement it similar to the daytime settings of the Editor. The most important thing is to prevent the already small Shootmania community from getting splitted into 2 parts.

About the movement : It's the key feature of SM. Movement is what makes SM SM so I honestly dont think it needs changes. Altho it wouldnt hurt to try of course.
I prefere Cryo to be somewhat of a new look & feel ( but drastic ) with new / different / updated blocks

Re: End of June
Like the idea, but it might be hard to do from technical side:
- It shouldn't be a problem to make base of SMAll, like we have with TM for now
- It would make a problem to force all title pack makers to change base from SMStorm to SMAll
- Adding second environment directly to SMStorm wouldn't have any sense (2 enviros in 1-specific enviro base seems uncommonly awkward, where would SMCryo base exist then...?)
