Today I'm so proud to present you a big comeback of the Hunger Games game mode!
After over 1 year without an update, plus almost 3 years after its first appearance, the Hunger Games return with tons of improvements and new features! Game is now balanced like never before, maps and items were updated to new standards and objects can finally appear in random locations.
WHAT ARE HUNGER GAMES?
Hunger Games is long-play mode, where all players have only one life. At the beginning of the game everyone is spawned in the central part of the map. The first thing the player must do is touch the central Goal. All players have only one chance to play on a map. When someone is eliminated, they are forced to spectate the game until end. The game ends when only one player remains alive, that player becomes the winner.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
The most important element of Hunger Games is development of the player character. After the central Goal was touched, it's possible to pick up various items present on the map to increase played character abilities. Player's current statistics can be seen below the scores table.
TORNADO PHASE
After 6 minutes since game start or if there are only 2 players remaining, the Tornado is launched. The Tornado will slowly decrease size of the playable area, destroying all items behind it. Gates will open at fast the Tornado is close to them. It takes 3 minutes for the Tornado to shrink to its minimum radius. After that, all players remaining alive will perform the final survival battle.
JOINING GAME AFTER START
If the game has started and Tornado hasn't been launched yet, for the first 3 minutes new players coming to the server can spawn and try to survive in the ongoing match.
AVAILABLE ITEMS
- WEAPON
Picking up this item gives 1 ammo slot to a randomly choosen weapon, unless the weapons amount limit hasbeen reached (maximum 3 slots per every weapon). It's also healing 1 armor point. - CHARGE
Increases the speed of ammunition and stamina reload by 5%, as well as enlarges total stamina capacity by the same factor. - MINI
Unlike the name suggests, it extends player's abilities the way 2 Charges would. However, it's taking 1 armor away. It cannot be picked up if player has only one armor (item cannot cause death). If player has full armor and Weapon item is somewhere nearby, it's recommended to pick up Mini first and then heal with Weapon. - REPLIE
If the map does feature Replies, their slot will be shown in the inventory. Once you pick up a Replie, you can use it at any time to restore 1 armor point by pressing “Qâ€. Particles cloud will appear around the player who just used a Replie. It's possible to have up to 5 Replies at once. Replie won't be used if you have full armor. - ARMOR
Restores 1 armor point on pick. This item cannot be picked up if your have full armor. - FUEL
Used to fully restore stamina.

NEW FEATURES AS OF VERSION 3.0
Game mode is now a part of ShootMania Galaxy title pack. This means all new features introduced with Galaxy are now a thing in Hunger Games - new interfaces, advanced minimap, improved killfeed, multikill notifications, kill assists, environmental eliminations and way more.
NEW ITEMS DESIGN AND RECOMMENDED AMOUNT

New maps have limit of every object type, which makes the game more balanced:
- 12 x WEAPON
- 32 x CHARGE
- 24 x MINI
- 24 x REPLIE
- 36 x ARMOR
- 12 x FUEL
Since this update, the amount of items spawned on map will be automatically adjusted, based on how many players were playing when the game was starting. The game will spawn 15 items per every player connected. Original ratio between every item type is kept, meaning all players have the same chances of finding specific item, no matter how many players are on the server.
MIXED POSITIONS OF THE ITEMS

All items (except Armor) can now spawn in place of other items, for example Weapon can appear where Charge originally was. Amount of each item remains the same, they are just relocated on map, giving way more diversity and surprise. This also makes remembering objects positions useless, as every game is gonna be different experience!
UPCOMING FEATURES
Update 3.0 is not the end of Hunger Games development cycle. Future updateswill brimg some more awesome things.
- SECOND CHANCE
Players, who were eliminated will be given an option to buy second chance for a small amount of planets (500-1000 P). - ABILITY TO RESPAWN
New map type requires 8 Checkpoints to be placed. They are useless for now, but soon the players, who are stuck in some place will be able to respawn on them, by pressing Backspace and standing still for 30 seconds. Respawn won't be possible after all Checkpoints are beyond the Tornado. - RETURN OF THE CRATE
Unknown when and how, the Crate will return one day. It will be similar to the original Crate, but will give ammo for a special weapon activable under under "E" key. - CHARACTERS
The old characters from original Hunger Games will be back, available in all game modes. They will be way more balanced and diverse in gameplay, starting with different statistics. - LOBBIES AND MATCHMAKING
We all hate waiting in Hunger Games. So, as of one future updates new Hunger Games Matchmaking will be available! You will join a lobby with list of all upcoming games and ability to join waiting. Once you got eliminated, you will return to the lobby. You all wanted that, no? - ITEMS DENSITY MAP FOR MAP MAKERS
Improved map type for Hunger Games will feature small map of the items density, allowing map creators to easily see what parts of map are lacking items or have too many of them.
- Characters: they will return in all Galaxy game modes one day.
- Crate (Torpede box): it was really unbalanced and requires more changes before it can be brought back.
