# Block resizer:
With mouse wheel could resize block bigger or smaller.
It could work like, when you are in the editor and you select a block, pressing key and using mouse wheel you can resize it.
The block looks like it zooms in and out and can adjust the size, then place the block
In SM it would be good for castle blocks, in TM maybe for making narrow roads wider, etc
# Skins / Custom skins
- Big variety of skins.
For example different toned metal walls, house textures for castle blocks, etc...
- Custom skins,
Could add your own jpg and use it for skin. Included in the map file to certain size
Maybe could add url links, so you can use more than the map file size allows
# SM / Stamina:
The run speed would increase unlimited. Could bump up very fast speed with some tricks
Ok, thx bye!

Re: Maniaplanet Update #4 - wishlist
I didn't really like the graphics changes for Stadium in the latest update and I think that it probably better be just reverted to MP3-like looks.
I hate those cube-mapped low-quality low refresh rate reflections on normal road blocks of MP4 iteration of Stadium with shader quality set to Very Nice. And the worst thing is that you can't turn those reflections off without lowering the shader quality.
It might be a matter of personal preference, but there are a few things that probably nobody can deny:
1) Platform to normal road transition looks weird and ununiform now:

2) The sun in sunset mode is way too high and it looks super unnatural and the sky and lighting overall look far better in MP3:

Change wasn't made to be reverted. Only because you and 2% other players don't like it, it won't force devs to change hardly worked on textures back to 2x lower quality ones.

Have you ever looked at a sunset irl? It's definitely not as bright as how it shows in MP3 lol.
Your first screenshot also doesn't look very "weird" to me, it's not like there's a seam there without a border, so it makes at least sense.

You can adjust the time of day with the slider or type in the time of day you want if you would like it a little brighter.

Re: Maniaplanet Update #4 - wishlist
It's just I expected the game to look at least not worse than it was before, not to say that I was hoping to see even better than before, really modern graphics. What we got instead is not only questionable in terms of picture quality and an amount of details and lighting in some aspects, man, even in Turbo, of which I'm not a fan, Stadium looks better than in MP4 in its current state. While still looking weird, at least in Turbo, Stadium resembles the same visual style everywhere.
And those cube-mapped reflections on the track... That tech is ancient and looks ugly AF on big flat surfaces like that. If at least there was an option for higher quality screen space reflections or better disabling those reflections altogether, but oh well.
And why is it reflective in the first place? Is it wet? Is it made out of glass? Is it covered with sleet? I do realize that this game doesn't pretend to be realistic. But what's next? They're going to make the grass purple and you'll be BSing people with 2x better graphics etc?

I respect your opinion, but if you'd be observant enough, then you'd notice that each screenshot from MP4 (despite being compressed with the same settings and having the same resolution etc.) has a smaller size in bytes, from 10% to 25% depending on an image. Those textures in MP4 might have higher resolution, but they lack visual information, details, and look flat and detailless, screenshot size comparison won't let me lie.domino54 wrote:textures back to 2x lower quality ones

How can I do that?Demented wrote:You can adjust the time of day with the slider or type in the time of day you want if you would like it a little brighter.

Wow I've never seen someone use screenshot file size as a measurement of graphics quality. That's insane, dude.

Look for the new button in the lower right corner of the map editor near validate and settings. It lets you adjust the time of day or even set time of day to dynamic lighting that cycles through night, morning, day, sunset from the time you choose and at the speed which you choose. However beware that using "Dynamic" lighting will make your map file sizes much bigger and calculating lighting will take longer but it is a cool effect.

Re: Maniaplanet Update #4 - wishlist
I, for one, would prefer at least a much closer levels/tone match between the track textures and the platform textures.
Something like this:

Instead of this:

Re: Maniaplanet Update #4 - wishlist
@tm2_stadium_beta, you can try my TMUF Stadium mod, which has no reflections and uses the old textures.
