One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together

Re: One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together
So something like Turbo or the TM2 titlepack with all environments, I suppose? Wouldn't be a bad idea, but I have no idea how you would realize this now, considering all the environments are already out individually.

Re: One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together
Well Obviously it's way too late for this to happen. After the first announcement of Maniaplanet back then i thought they would do something like they did with TMUF (Shame on you, Miss, btw , for never playing it!) only better but no.. everything was done with this awful titlepack mechanic (dumbest idea ever!

I think Nadeo tried to make the perfect game without realising that no one wanted that! TMUF was a simple yet fun game. Why couldn't they do the same with TM2?
As an old TM Fan from the release of Trackmania Power-Up back then i don't trust Nadeo to do anything good anymore. They fucked up the series badly.
They should just stop making games..
Now come at me, blinded Nadeo fanboys..
Re: One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together
The thing about TMUF though.. I bought it on Steam a very long time ago, and I only really played the stadium part. If you look at MP now, it's still mostly only stadium that's being played.
So, if you look at it from that perspective, it makes sense to sell each title independent of each other, if people are only going to be playing one of the titles. This allows Nadeo to charge less for the game as well. (TMUF is 30 euro on Steam, TM2 Stadium is only 10 euro!)

Re: One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together
You are the part of the problem there you see? the game is so big and you don't even take your time to try to work yourself into the other environments and just stay with the known stuff.. That's sad.. really sad..Miss wrote: ↑23 Dec 2017, 18:21 The thing about TMUF though.. I bought it on Steam a very long time ago, and I only really played the stadium part. and about the pricing: Steam has a lot of games that are still priced like if they released yesterday. in local stores you can find TMUF for 10€ usually

Yeah, it's very sad I'm able to buy only one environment that interests me and not 3 others I will never play. Very sad I can save my money by not buying these other environments.

Well you have to explain to me how TM Turbo's 4 environments are a total of 40€ while Canyon and Valley already costs 40€...
Once again, I need to understand how Turbo costs 40€ ...
Speaking about Turbo, this is what Nadeo should have done since the beginning, but of course without the HUGE MISTAKES they made in Turbo (which made it die in about 2 weeks). The game would have been perfect, too bad.
And this is how you never meet the other players of the game, and completely separate the community in pieces. The environments are part of one and unique game, they are not individual games. Btw the overall price for all the environments (20+20+20+10=70€) is way to high and this is a strategy from Nadeo to make the one that actually want to play the whole game (if you understood, all the environments) to actually spent more money that normal.

Re: One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together
Turbo wan't meant to replace ManiaPlanet and most of people (including you there) seem to not fully understand what Nadeo/Ubisoft wanted to achieve, despite being said multiple times.
TrackMania Turbo is a game, which is targetted in console audiences, where the gameplay is arcade, meant to be fun and be a game with spirit, which you could play with friends in split screen mode. It's not as flexible as ManiaPlanet, it's meant to be kept simple and accessible to everyone, mostly console people who are new to TM franchise and don't need as many personalization options as other instances of the game offer. It was also released on PC, since it essentially modified ManiaPlanet, so the platform was compatible.
ManiaPlanet on the other hand is a place where you can customize nearly anything you want, enjoy custom game modes, customize their maps with texture packs and selfmade items, as well as it's place where ShootMania coexists with TrackMania, letting them share common features. ManiaPlanet is also a place to host official competitions.
Pricing itself is fair, as you can see what the games offer themselves. If Turbo costs 40€, it makes one environment 10€. Comparing to prce of a ManiaPlanet environment, which stands for 20€, it's fair enough that ManiaPlanet edition is more expensive, considering the higher quantity of customization features over Turbo.

In my modest opinion, your point has no sense to me. You don't meet other players of the game, for one simple reason: as the player, you probably are not interested in other environments as for now and don't want to try them. Why would you force a Canyon-only player to integrate with Stadium-only player, while they have pretty much nothing in common (besides playing game that got the same gameplay foundations)? It's the same as if you would try to unite ShootMania in the same, "Mania-bundle". You can be not interested in having it, but the price would still raise and you'd have to pay more to have it. I guess it should be clear that not everyone is interested in everything ManiaPlanet has to offer, right?

Re: One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together
I know about the supposed difference between Turbo and ManiaPlanet, everybody does.
The customization has gone too far in MP, 95% of it is for elitist computer pros, vast majority of a game population doesn't understand.
Creating new titles only divide the puzzle in an even bigger number of pieces.
Speaking of customization, other people can't see your self-made carskin and avatar, lol tho (and as I said, go try to explain the locator thing to the majority of the players...).
My point that I tried to make you understand is that it's okay bro you only like Canyon, you only buy Canyon, but this would work only if the number of players for EACH title is immense. Stadium itself doesn't have enough players, let alone Canyon, Valley and Lagoon ! This result in a situation where the one title you only like becomes boring in itself, that also resulting in players quitting.
Please, look at the state of the TrackMania license right now and tell me this is alright.

Re: One last Update Please ! Merge all TM together
I dont know if he is really writing about my issue but it's anyway bad you cannot order all titles as a bundle with some reduction to the full price.
Of course it would be ridiculous to give the full game for free but the official total cost for all 4 environments 70€ is much too much. Thats why i bought it in steam sale where it was about half the price.
If this steam offer wouldn't have been i might have quit maniaplanet and gone back to TMUF.
Btw: many dont buy lagoon because they dont like it. They have 3 environments and cannot play the multi-titles. So RIP Multi-Environment: one of the points i totally cannot understand.
Currently player base seems stable: lucky 2017 but still we dont know if anything will come in the future...
