Awsomaniac Hunting Canyon - How to cheat people

I joined my friend on server called "Awsomaniac Hunting Canyon" and it was fine UNTIL i just greeted him. I wrote normal "hey!" and controller plugin that was checking bad words warned me and him. Isn't that weird? But that's just beginning! We like laugh at plugins like this, so we tried other words. And that's list of "bad words" we found server:

• hey
• hello
• lol and variants such: LOOL
• xd (any letter size)

...and more i don't remember.

BUT the most funny and scary thing is fact, that words such as "f**k", german "sch***e" and our famous polish "k***a" are NOT blocked! Not too much?


And here is how server owner cheats people: you must pay penatly! Up to 5 warnings and then ban perm. There is how it works:

• 1/5 - just public warning to humiliate player
• 2/5 - now you must PAY 200 planets, or kick (rejoin doesn't help)
• 3/5 - same, but 500 P
• 4/5 - 1000 P
• 5/5 - 2500 P (i was laughing to the floor, but paid, i have over 150k )
• Then - IP perm ban

I don't know - laugh or cry. How unfair and worse is what we saw. I dont remember server login and dont know owner, need to find. But quickly after we found him, I'll send him greeting: "HEY!"

in which way is that cheating?
it's basically a way to keep players away from their servers.. so what...

you can use http://maniaviewer.com/ to find the server and the owner (laurens)

Even when they identify the right words those profanity filters are worse than useless -- whoever wrote them evidently focused only on filtering profanity to the point of forgetting what that filtering is meant to accomplish.

Sounds to me like the server owner set it up that way as a joke -- I wouldn't be surprised if they've put it back to normal by now.

Hey guys

First of all, I haven't been online anymore because I've been bus,
so I didn't really know that there still came people on.

Secondly this server was completely 100% used for fun while hunting dedi #1 records.
To have some distraction, we found and tested this incedribly funny plugin,
and instead of using badwords, we thought of using normal, common "fun" words.

When we hunted, the 6th step is that "ban", but we unban always,
we just laughed and that was great distraction on more difficult-to-hunt-maps.

"How to cheat people" is quite a bad choice so. It's also not a popular server, neither ladder ranked.
If you want to hunt or something, you can use it, it's in the name. With some fun!

Thank you for explanation, but what happened with our planets?

They are on the server, the people who are "in love with" / "hating it to lose" planets get them back if they want/ask. Because it's not my goal to get rich in planets. I'm quite disappointed by this topic though, definetely with the name and that you are a Polish Moderator.

But no problem, Have fun in TrackMania and see you soon online hopefully
