[IDEA/REQUEST] Leaderboards, Profiles, Statistics, MP-CUPS..

The people reading this all know how wonderful this game can be. We all also know that with the map-editor, replay editor etc etc this game has loads of extra features. Unfortunately this game is also missing a bunch of features.
Imo, one of the big missing things in this game is "Motivation to play". So how can we solve that?

Below I want to show you my take/vision on team/player profiles, statistics & leaderboards.

PLAYERS

1. Player Profile

A player profile gets automatically created when you buy and register for the game.
Later on you can always easily update your profile on the maniaplanet website. (or in-game?)

Personal Data:

Current Team or Status ( F.E. "Looking for a team" - "Inactive" - "Not looking for a team")

Player Leaderboards are generated automatically and work with LP. Players can earn LP on the MatchMaking servers, Ranked servers and by playing in Maniaplanet-cups.

2. Team Leaderboards

Team Leaderboards are generated automatically because teams play in maniaplanet-cups.
Maniaplanet cups are linked with the maniaplanet back-end which handles this leaderboard.
Each maniaplanet-cups rewards teams with Skill Points.
Teams can also win skill-points when they ally-up on MatchMaking and they face another allied-up team.

MANIAPLANET CUPS

NADEO should partner up with Paragon and others and develop an easy way to give participants in those cups LP & SP (=SkillPoints)

LP :
LP can easily be given to the participants if they play on RANKED Servers during the cup.
But it would be cool to be awarded with extra LP based on your final position in this cup.

1st : 1000 LP per player
2nd : 750 LP per player
3rd : 500 LP per player
...
14th: 50 LP per player


SP(=Skill Points):
SP should be given to all teams playing in this cup based on your final position.

1st : 1000 SP for the team
2nd : 750 SP for the team
3rd : 500 SP for the team
( Even better would be to use non-fixed values and calculate how much the team deserves. )

It would be so great !
I really like these ideas of skillpoints, player page etc
Bonus LP's for winning a cup would be nice too (Even if we already win LP's during paragon cups).
One more thing that seems to me linked to this stuff is achievment system but you already created a topic about it some time ago ( viewtopic.php?f=10&t=29035 ,I think there is another topic about it but i couldn't find it )

PS : "SP" is already used in trackmania for "solo-points" that you earn with official times in the campaign :p

Ye could be great to get real profil and at least a repport page for banned account. Because apparently here you can be ban then make new acc the loop never stop?.

Exactly the same feeling. SM development is sloooooooooooooooow. But that should be expected at this point. Nadeo don't get enough money from selling SM, there are no tournaments profitable for them. They probably have something else to spend time and budget working on which might bring them a lot more return than SM can.

I honestly think they gave up on ShootMania and will put all ( or a lot ) of our wishes in a ShootMania Clone:
ShootMania² or ShootMania:Cryo. They are letting SM slowly die.

But they cant say this out loud because then they will lose income of SM-sellings.

But please just stay on topic! I really want these profiles & ladders in ShootMania!

I'm not sure for SM² ... If SM die slowly, the fanbase will go, and never come back, or they will be more intransigeant as fuck. Nobody to start the game except random player > spawnkill.

This kind of dev is in our todo and some elements were already started earlier. For Shootmania Storm we still work on update and don't intend to let it at all. It's part of Shootmania, which is bigger in itself, but Storm still has to be updated. Some people are already working on this at the studio, but our main force is on TM for still some months. Most important thing to keep in mind is that the team is getting better and bigger. Which is going to be better for Shootmania as well.

Would be nice to have these features in Storm, but better information is that your'e working on TM (i'm playing it more since Pursuit is almost 24/7 active xd).

i wonder why nadeo never made stats for ShootMania since the beginning as they made tools/tournaments for it. Even the community has experience with it see for example drakonia/mania-actu and paragon.

Hylis,
I hope you'll do a homerun with this one & future updates. It needs to be top quality.
I hope that you realise that stuff like this ( and not new blocks / textures ) is the key to attract new players and make them happy what is the number#1 priority at the moment for ShootMania.

I'm not saying my suggestion would save the game (that would be arrogant), but it is an important aspect of the game that is completely missing in MP3.

Also lovely to hear that your team has gotten better / bigger ! That can only have a positive effect on the game.

Now, find a way ( after your big update ) to update more frequently. Nobody likes this silence!
