But this would most certainly mean the end of mania-exchange. :oops:Let's be real honest here: If all documentation + the functionality of these websites ( maniapark & mania-exchange ) would be ingame then this would have a positive impact on the game. How big would this impact be? I dont know how big, but it would be a step forward.
Certainly!
In earlier times, it was possible to upload some selected maps to the TrackMania community ingame.
Why not add a function to publish & update directly to Mania-Exchange? Steam Workshop? Maniapark? etc.
And also the way around: a ingame browser for Mania-Exchange maps & tracks, Maniapark vehicles and modes.
As example: there was already the random map picker manialink.
Then those great sites would not even survive, they would enrich much more the game.

I think Nadeo is pushing the Github documentation forward, since everyone can simply register there and then can edit whatever. Then there is a review by Nadeo before it gets published.
For a more community driven documentation site, either there should be no review, or some "senior members" should review and approve new content.

I don't know if the same is possible for the Wiki, but up to now, and except a few links, it was the official game wiki, therefore it is natural that they don't want any content which is not professional there.

But yeah it would be great to be able to re-use those and put them in the current doc.
Copyright or not... Some people made those tutorials so the only copyright might be on the website part and not on textual rights.

Why? it's an almost exact copy of MT

Yes i know it's sad that MT shut down, but the fact that there is an archive of it is a great resource, if someone can complete the tutorials we could have an actually great option for newcomers to learn

P.S. Does anyone know why MT shut down TstarGermany didn't exactly give a reason why I don't think
1. It is MC (ManiaCreative). MT stands for Mediatracker.

2. Lack of motivation. Many older TM members either just got old enough to have other priorities or just aren't used to a big change like this (maniaplanet). TStarGermany, afaik, lost motivation.

If you loose motivation, you probably also loose the willingness to keep paying for the website to be online.
